Accutipster's World Cup Tips: Day 19

Today we have the final two Round of 16 ties. Belgium face the USA and Argentina play Switzerland. Yesterday saw a late but expected France win, with an own goal and one from Paul Pogba in the last 10 minutes enough to see the French through to face Germany. In that game, Algeria held Germany for 90 minutes, and probably should have scored a couple, but eventually fell in Extra Time, 2-1 to the Germans. Our solitary winner was France -1 @ 7/5, with not many expecting Algeria to hold Germany for so long!

Here are our Tips for today:

Belgium vs USA

Belgium have hardly been at their best so far, with a lack of full backs being their issues. Going forward, with Origi and Mertens they have looked very threatening, but the likes of Hazard and Lukaku have been far from impressive. We fancy Belgium to win this late on again – Draw/Belgium is around 7/2. Will the USA score? We think not. Belgium will bring back the big guns in Kompany etc and do the business in the 2nd half. Win to Nil is 15/8, or if you fancy a boring goalless draw Belgium Clean Sheet is 6/4.

Top Tip – Belgium Win to Nil @ 15/8

Argentina vs Switzerland

Will the rest of the Argie squad finally show up? It’s been all-Messi so far! We think the Swiss will do well, but eventually lose. Argentina + BTTS is 9/4. BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals is 5/4. Messi to score 2 or more + Arg win is a special price @ 7/2 with William Hill!

Top Tip – Argentina + BTTS @ 9/4

Double of the Day:

  • Arg  + BTTS/Belgium Win to Nil – 8.5/1

Best of luck
