Football Tips // 03.09.16

The last day of tipping from us brought about a 4/1 double, but since then there has been pretty much nothing of note on. This weekend, there is a near-full fixture list in the Football League, and then Sunday-Tuesday is the first round of World Cup qualification.

Four tips for the day – 2 in League One and 2 in League Two:

Peterborough vs Swindon: Peterborough -1 Asian Handicap @ 6/4 (League One, 12:15 KO)

Peterborough are the second highest scorers in the league and have won three out of five matches this season including an incredible 5-1 win over a Millwall side who look good for promotion. Swindon have taken seven points from a possible twelve and have only found the net on four occasions. Peterborough are unpredictable result wise but they always score goals, at home against a goal shy Swindon a two goal margin is well in reach.

Wimbledon vs Chesterfield: Chesterfield Draw No Bet @ 6/5 (League One, 15:00 KO)

Wimbledon are five games into the season and still find themselves without a win, they have only managed four goals but have conceded eight. 10th placed Chesterfield have managed seven points from a possible 15, scoring on eight occasions and conceding seven. New boys Wimbledon are seemingly finding themselves quite frankly out of their depth in league two managing only two points, they sit bottom and Chesterfield should be comfortable enough in this one.

Stevenage vs Hartlepool: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/4 (League Two, 15:00 KO)

22nd placed Stevenage have had four of five league matches finish over 2.5 goals this season they have a horrible defensive record of 12 goals against but have also managed to score in four of their five games. Hartlepool come into this with the same record of four of five games finishing Over 2.5 Goals – meaning eight of 10 games involving these teams has finished Over 2.5 Goals. Hartlepool have both scored and conceded in all of their league games thus far – and a good stat for both side is the following:

In the last 5 games, Stevenage have conceded 16, while Hartlepool have conceded 10! Good BTTS + Over 2.5 record for both sides to go with – 5 in a row for Hartlepool.

Notts County vs Grimsby: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/4 (League Two, 15:00 KO)

Grimsby are the leagues leading scorers with 11 goals. The match result would be to close to call with Notts County sitting 11th on seven points whilst Grimsby sit 12th with six points. Notts County are yet to keep a clean sheet conceding seven in five matches – put this along side the fact on average Grimsby are scoring 2.2 goals a game and 5/4 seems excellent value.

Grimsby’s last 5 games read 2-5, 5-2, 3-2, 2-1 and 2-1, while Notts County’s last four read 2-1, 3-1, 2-1 and 2-1.

NAP: 4 @ 5/4

Double: 3 + 4 @ 4/1

Treble: 1, 3 + 4 @ 10/1

Accumulator: 1-4 @ 25/1

Best of luck!
