Morning all

The weekend looked to have started so well, but fell away dramatically. Yesterday City drew 0-0 with Villa, and Brugge didn’t manage to score in the first half to win the HT-FT. Basel were awful and lost their first home game in the league for an age, while Roma won 2-0 but Lazio could not net to land that one either!

Today I am sticking with a nice priced home double – form is good, and for me both are solid bets:

1. Crotone Win @ 5/4 vs Avellino (1930 KO, Serie A – NAP)

Crotone have played 7 home games this season in league and cup, and have won 6 and drawn one (typically the game we backed them in). Avellino on the other hand have lost 4 of 7 away games, winning just one in the process. Crotone won both meets last season, 2-1 and 2-0 and I fancy them to win to nil again today!

2. St Pauli Win @ 6/5 vs Dusseldorf (1915 KO, Bundesliga II)

St Pauli are in great form at home, winning 4 of 6 this season. In April they faced Dusseldorf and won 4-0 in the same ground, and with Dusseldorf losing 4 of 7 away games and still yet to win – I fancy them to win this again, and at prices over evens, I am shocked at what a good price that is!

As a double, this pays 4/1. Panetolikos-Giannina BTTS @ 11/10 tickles my fancy but with the Greek league being pretty poor I’d suggest the double is a much safer bet without the 3rd option!

With football dying down a bit later this week I plan to get a few reviews up from all of our tipsters for a mix of September and October, depending on weather they have done one for either yet.

Good luck
