Another weekend is upon us, and the calm before the storm is today. I have earmarked 3 bets that I think are fantastic value, and below each is a detailed explanation as to why:

Petrolul vs CSMS Iasi: BTTS @ 11/10 (Romanian Liga I, 1830 KO)

A season or two ago this was a very different fixture. Iasi were battling relegation and were yoyo-ing between the top two leagues. Petrolul were battling it out in Europe and challenging for titles in the Romanian league. Now, thanks to a financial meltdown, Petrolul have joined the relegation fun. They are almost certain to go down, and have lost so many games of late! With the 16 team league now split into two stages, with competition rules – Petrolul find themselves about 10 points from safety. Effectively, they are knackered.

To the game. Petrolul have a BTTS rate at home of 8/13 (60%), while away Iasi’s record is 9/15 (60%). Petrolul have scored in 9/13 and conceded in 11/13, while Iasi have scored in 10/15 but conceded in 12/15. 3 of the 4 previous meetings at this ground have ended BTTS.

I’m pretty sure I just wrote Petrolul 5 times. Enough about Petrolul…

FAC Wien vs Austria Lustenau: Lustenau Win @ 11/10 (Austrian Erste Liga, 1730 KO)

Let’s keep it simple. FAC Wien, at home – are bloody awful. 10 games, 1 draw, 9 losses – 27 conceded and only a couple scored

Lustenau have really picked up their form of late – 7 wins in their last 10 games, scoring a load of goals and really putting a charge together for a title winning season.

Lustenau have also won the last three meetings. 1-0, 1-0 and 3-1. Given all the form, I think this is a great great price!

St Pauli vs Paderborn: St Pauli Win @ 21/20 (Bundesliga II, 1730 KO)

In the last of my tips today – 4th placed St Pauli host relegation threatened Paderborn.

The home side have won 7/12, tailing off a little of late, but are very good at home in general. They have beaten both of the top two at home – Leipzig and Freiburg, which is a very good achievement.

Paderborn have lost 8/12 away, scoring just 7. Against a St Pauli side who are tight at the back and decent going forward, I think a tight 1/2-0 win is on the cards

Petrolul-CSMS is the riskiest of the three, the 2nd and 3rd tips a very solid double!

Best of luck
