Football Tips // 16.05.16

Last week was a funny one – 9 winning tips in 14 games from myself, with 3 of the 5 losers just a goal off. 2 winning doubles and every day at least one correct tip from the 2 offered. Now the bigger leagues’ seasons are finished, it will be a little quieter but frankly I prefer the smaller leagues – they often offer better value for money as bookies are not quite as bothered with them as they are with the big leagues.

Here’s my two for today:

CSKA Moscow vs Krasnodar: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5 (Russian Premier League, 1730 KO)

It’s 1st vs 4th here in a battle that, with 2 games remaining – could have a telling say on where the Championship ends up. CSKA lead Rostov by 2 points with 2 games to go. Rostov are really pushing them all the way, and should they win it would be Leicester-esque. CSKA are favourites though, and face a tough cookie in Krasnodar. These two both have decent records in this market, despite the one sided nature of the league, where about 2-3 teams are the only ones in with a chance most seasons.

Their most recent meet was less than a month ago in the Cup – CSKA winning 3-1, and the last four including that have also been 2-1, 1-1 and 2-1. Both are strong sides, so I’m expecting a few goals in this!

Lugano vs Young Boys: Young Boys Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/8 (Swiss Super League, 1500 KO)

Despite Young Boys confirming their spot in next season’s Qualifying for the Champions League, they have still been on it in recent weeks – scoring 3 or more in 3 of their last 5 games – and 3+ in 8 of their last 10, while also beating Lugano 7-0 in their last meeting. Lugano on the other hand are in need of points – they sit just outside the relegation zone, by not much. With all taken into consideration, and the fact that Young Boys are not easing off even with 3 games to go and nothing else to play for – I think a Lugano offensive is likely, and I believe that they will be picked off and taken apart by a much better side!

Combined this pays 5.3/1 with Bet365, while others should have both markets up at some point today.

Best of luck
