Football Tips // 21.08.16

What can I say about yesterday…Sirius losing for the first time in nearly 10 games – which included 7 wins in a row and a 6-0 thrashing of the team that somehow beat them. They had their chances, but simply didn’t take them.

Kieron was unfortunate – Liverpool-Burnley Over 2.5 should have landed with the amount of chances Liverpool had, while Peterborough had a goal chalked off controversially late in the 2nd half which would have landed that bet. Bradford also conceded after just 3 minutes, but then went on to thrash Coventry 3-1, a momentary lapse in concentration letting the bet down!

Today – I have a value tip, and a high value tip:

Pescara vs Napoli: Napoli -1 Goal Handicap @ 11/10 (Serie A, 1400 KO)

Promoted Pescara face a Napoli side full of attacking threat, and defensive quality.

In their ranks – the likes of Insigne, Callejon, Hamsik, Koulibaly and new signing Arkadiusz Milik – Gonzalo Higuain’s replacement from Ajax. They have been in the top couple for the last few seasons and with an all-round quality team have the mettle to trouble even the best teams!

Even with new signing Tonelli missing – they should have plenty to beat a Pescara side who went down without a fight last time they were in the league a few seasons ago! Looking through their squad – and the most notable players are Robert Muric, who has just been signed from Ajax, and Bryan Cristante – a loan signing from Benfica, formerly of AC Milan.

I can’t see them causing Napoli too many problems – for the sake of this bet, it should be a case of how many Napoli can score!

Hammarby vs Goteborg: Goteborg Win + BTTS @ 7/2 (Swedish Allsvenskan, 1400 KO)

This is certainly going to be a high risk bet for the weekend – Goteborg + BTTS @ 7/2, with both teams high scoring (both scored over 30 in 18 games) while Goteborg have conceded 25, and Hammarby 33.

In Goteborg’s last 10 games away, they have scored in 9 and conceded in 8 – 5 wins in total, but a big factor has been the Europa League – the did play in it Thursday, but at home – no real amount of travel.

At home, Hammarby have had 32 goals in 9 games, including 8/9 BTTS! Goteborg away are equally goal friendly – 35 goals in 9 games, and 7 BTTS out of 9 – Falkenbergs and Ostersunds being the two that weren’t.

At just over 3/1, this has tremendous value to it!

Best of luck for the day!
