A very annoying finish to last night. Man City should have scored, while there certainly should have been over 2.5 given the amount of good quality chances. Real Madrid were 4-0 up at one stage, and with the asian handicap effectively done, they went on to concede 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to win 4-3, meaning the handicap voided.
Today we have the Europa League – with this being the reverse set of fixtures where we picked a 32/1 accumulator. With plenty of value on show, I am going to pick four and go for it again this time:
Qarabag vs Tottenham: Tottenham Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 5/4 (1800 KO)
Spurs have sent a near-full squad, so in my opinion will put out a near full-strength team, baring probably Kane, Eriksen and Vertonghen. With N’Jie possibly coming in for Kane, I would still fancy this. A strong pointer though is Pochettino likes to try and win games early, and then take players off so don’t be shocked to see Kane start. 6 have been left at home due to varying injuries and knocks – Dembele, Walker and a few others to name the key ones. A selection of youth prospects have travelled – but I’d only expect to see some of them if Spurs are winning well. Onomah could start, while Kevin Wimmer is also set for an appearance at centre back.
For me, should win. 2 goals isn’t too much to ask…
Molde vs Fenerbache: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 21/20 (2005 KO)
This bet has landed in 3 of the four games for Molde, and 2/4 for an average looking Fenerbache. The group on the whole is looking very open, with both Celtic and Ajax still in with a shot of qualifying as well. Molde are the side to beat, having gone through unbeaten so far and now their season has been over for a few weeks a but of rustiness may creep in. Should be an end-to-end game and one I think could land fairly early if all goes well. Molde won 3-1 last time away from home, so who knows what they might do at home!
Villarreal vs Rapid Vienna: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 (2005 KO)
This was the first to land in the reverse set of tips. Rapid scored 6 on the weekend, and with 4/4 wins in the group should have great confidence. Villarreal should also be full of confidence as their home record is very good at the moment. Rapid are 5/1 for the win, but I really think both will score early on and this should be one to land within 60-70 minutes! All of Rapid’s 4 games have won in this market, while 2/4 for Villarreal. A good price considering all factors.
AZ Alkmaar vs Partizan Belgrade: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 (1800 KO – NAP)
Both teams have 75% records in this market during this group phase – so 3/4 for both. They are placed 4th and 3rd, with Partizan having score 7 and conceded 10 so far. AZ need a win, while Partizan will want to progress and this would give them a fantastic chance! Both are poor defensively and throughout the whole tournament, even Qualifying – have been reliable in this market. League form is hard to read into as both play in relatively poor leagues (no offence meant) but should both go at this hammer and tongue so like myself, you should expect goals!
My preferred double is 3 + 4 @ 3.2/1 – Spurs were originally a top pick but with players being left at home, and an unknown quality of the starting lineup mixed with the chance of a few kids appearing in a tough place to go – I think its a good bet but these two are better.
The acca pays roughly 20/1 with Bet365, and all markets are available with the top bookies.
Best of luck
