A poor one yesterday – starting with Blackburn – who gave Bolton their first in 18 games! What a time to pick them…Gillingham missed a host of chances which meant Colchester failed to concede more than 2 for the first time in ages. Northampton vs Accrington was a drab game, while QPR were set to win with minutes to go, but then conceded…
So, the return to daily accumulators for the two big days of football were either very close or massively failing. A return to daily doubles in order I think!
Brighton vs Ipswich: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/4 (Championship, 1945 KO)
Both of these are in great form. Ipswich have won 4 in a row on the road, scoring a load of goals, while Brighton have won 8/11 at home, despite a blip recently where they have conceded 8 in their last 5 home games, which is why we have gone for this bet.
5 BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals in 11 away for Ipswich, while Brighton have 5 in 11, however with their poor form recently those 5 have come in the last 8 games. Both scoring well, and both conceding goals – 18 for and 17 against in Ipswich’s 11 away games in the league.
Leeds vs Derby: Derby 2+ Goals @ 6/5 (Championship, 1945 KO)
Derby, away from home – have the best form in the league, with 6 wins, 4 draws and the solitary loss. They have scored 2+ in most of the games they have won, and with an attacking side with the talents of Ince, Martin and the in-form Jacob Butterfield – you’d have to fancy them against an increasingly improving Leeds team.
Leeds have won 3 of their last 5 home games against Hull, Preston and Cardiff, while losing to Rotherham and Blackburn. At home this season they have the 2nd worst form in the league, but have picked up recently as mentioned. The reason I go with team goals is because it could be a high scoring draw – this has served us well in the past, and with tiring legs from multiple games in a short space of time, match results can get a little strange.
This pays 4.5/1 in a good quality double.
All the best
