Nothing from me over the weekend, I really struggled for Value in the Fa Cup and the scraps left in the Leagues were too much of a liability Price. Good Decision because the only person who threw away more money than me in the last week was Alan Pardew – But at least he’s got a striker to show for it…of sorts. Four selections  for Tuesday’s games combining to around 15/1.

‘At a Glance’

  1. Derby V Preston @ 6/5
  2. Sunderland V Man City @ 4/5
  3. Sheffield Wednesday V Burnley @ 11/10
  4. Doncaster V Walsall @ 10/11

Derby V Preston @ 6/5 (19:45 KO, English Championship)

Derby are yet to find a Championship win in 2016, their last victory was back on boxing day which for side looking for automatic promotion is nowhere near good enough. Since boxing day they have scored in four of six matches and conceded in five of six,  usually a side you would associate with a tough defence to break but certainly not the case of late. At home this season they have scored 24 and conceded 12. Preston since Boxing day have scored in all six of their championship matches and conceded in five leaving a total of five out of six matches finishing BTTS.  Derby will be desperate to get their season back on track coming from a  horrible 4-1 defeat to Burnley, Whilst Preston will see this as the best opportunity to get this difficult fixture out of their mind with a result.

Sunderland V Man City @ 4/5 (19:45 KO, Barclays Premier League)

What I find incredible when looking over the stats for this one is; if you go back across Sunderland’s last nine Premier League games seven have finished BTTS. They have only failed to score in two of their last nine against Watford and Liverpool. Man City have scored in six of their last nine matches in the league, but with Aguero back fit and certainly firing it would be shock of the week should they not find the net here!. Interestingly the last six meetings between the two sides have finished BTTS and in the last eight only two didn’t – which were 1-0 wins for Sunderland!

Sheffield Wednesday V Burnley @ 11/10 (19:45 KO, English Championship)

Sheffield Wednesday have scored in six of their last seven matches in the Championship and have conceded in four out of seven. Burnley have scored in five out of their last seven and conceded in three out of seven. Sheffield Wednesday are a side that get goals they currently have 42 goals across the season, and a total of 31 conceded. My main concern here is the fact that Burnley tend to be very tight at the back and don’t leak a considerable number of goals but in terms of the home form table Wednesday move into third with 64% of their season total goals coming at home. Two very in form strikers in this match as well in Andre Gray of Burnley and Fernando Forestieri of Wednesday also worth noting last six meetings between the two four have finished BTTS.

Doncaster V Walsall @ 10/11 (19:45 KO English League One)

Doncaster have scored in six of their last eight matches and have conceded in six of eight. Walsall have scored in seven of their last eight matches and conceded in five of eight. Walsall have a fairly decent conceded record for the season with only 26 goals, but Doncaster are far more prolific at home than they are away only failing to score in three of 14 home matches. Walsall scoring should really be a ‘given’ considering their 45 goals this term and the fact Doncaster have already conceded 37.

The above selections as a four fold pays around 15/1.

Best Of Luck!
