Football Tips // Europa League Qualifying // Thursday

Afternoon all

I have just returned from a 2 day break, and have a quick set of 3 tips for tonight’s Europa League action. Value is often at a premium, with small teams from small nations getting a shot at the big time, often against huge teams like Rosenborg or West Ham – for example today. I have found 3 good value picks, all away games where any remote value seems to be:

1. Aberdeen HT-FT @ 11/10 vs Shkenjija Tetovo (2005 KO)

Aberdeen’s opposition this round are of Macedonian descent – but with Adam Rooney and the likes of David Goodwillie and Powley, I expect them to dispatch of them quickly in this leg, get a 2/3 goal lead and have a nice relaxing return leg at home. Qualifying was fairly easy for the home side – Rabotnicki and Vardar the only real challenge for them.

2. Zilina -1 Goal @ 11/8 vs Glentoran (2000 KO) (NAP)

This is another mis-match in my opinion. Glentoran, from the Northern Irish league should not be good enough to test Zilina, who won the Slovakian top division and had a run of 8 wins in the final 10 games, with 5 straight away wins.

3. Ferencvaros Over 1.5 Team Goals @ Evens vs Go Ahead Eagles (1900 KO)

Ferencvaros come into this game on the back of their best league finish in years (2nd) and a cup final victory over Debrecen. Go Ahead come into this on the back of relegation. Very poor form, and qualified for this I’m not sure how, presumably through the cup competition. They have already lost a few of the decent players they had, and will be focusing on their Erste campaign rather than Europe as this has led to many doing a lot worse in domestic leagues.

As a treble this pays around 9/1 – and is the only 3 games I really like the look of. Any doubles for me are good, so I won’t say which ones is best as they are all good bets.

Best of luck
