Football Tips // Friday

Morning all

Yesterday was a bit of a bloodshed – Fiorentina dominated, and the game ended 1-1 somehow so my NAP did not come in, which is a rarity. Wolfsburg were completely rubbish, losing 4-1 to Napoli. Sevilla-Zenit BTTS landed @ Evens, while the last game was Brugge Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 13/10, and the game ended 0-0…so not brilliant, but first legs are very hard to call.

Today brings about a mixed accumulator, which on paper looks an excellent bet @ 25/1:

  1. Dinamo Zagreb-Lok Zagreb Over 3.5 Goals @ 6/4 (Croatian HNL, 1700 KO)

When playing against each other these two score a tonne of goals. The last meeting with Lok at home, it was 4-3. Both are in iffy form, and both have had 2/3 over 3.5 goals games recently against some poor opposition. Almost always goes BTTS, in 4 of the last 5.

  1. Preston Win @ 8/11 vs Port Vale (English League 1, 1945 KO)

Preston are really pushing for Auto-promotion, and should tie up an easy win this evening against a shocking Port Vale side. North End have won 3 of their last 5 away games, which is a good % really, while Vale have lost 4 of their last 5 home games – a draw against MK Dons last weekend the only slight good point (dreadful for us, shocking game – never seen a team I have backed fail to register a single shot!). Should be 1/2-0 to Preston.

  1. Niort-Nimes BTTS @ 11/10 (NAP) (French Ligue 2, 1900 KO)

BTTS has happened in 4 of the last 5 games between the two – often going over 2.5 goals as well. In terms of form for both in this market – both have 3 BTTS games in their last 5 – but like mentioned it’s the record between the two that has won me over for this game.

  1. Targu Mures Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 12/5 vs CFR Cluj (Romanian Liga I, 1830 KO)

Targu have been a surprise package this season in the Romanian top division after promotion last season. They sit in the top two in the league, a few points behind Steaua. They have won 5/5 overall, and 4/5 away from home, with 2 1-0 wins recently, as well as a couple of 2-1’s. They, like many in the division, do not concede many, less than a goal per game on average. CFR Cluj are languishing in the relegation zone after a 25 points deduction, and would sit around where Targu are had they not experienced financial difficulties. They have lost 3 of their last 5 home games, and 2/5 overall. This is a toss-up between over and under – but with 3 wins and over 2.5 in their last 5, I’m going with Over – as Targu can easily score 3/4 goals but equally can concede one but still win.

My Weekend Preview should be up around 3pm, should I not sleep through until 5pm like I did yesterday…

Best of luck!
