Football Tips // Friday

Morning all

After a brief respite for the last two days – we are back (there was pretty much nothing of note on, football wise). Over the international period, we had a 20/1 win last Saturday and were two goals off a 20/1 win on Monday, as well as 3/4 on both Rugby and NFL tips from Jamie and Cathal – so a frustrating time!

Today we have a nice amount of 2nd tier football around Europe, with a few games in the top league’s as well. My tips today are spread a little – from France, to Austria as well as Belgium – We are looking at about a 20/1 acca again – which is seemingly the average price for a four-fold from myself:

1. Austria Salzburg-Liefering Over 3.5 Goals @ 1/1 (Austrian Erste, 1730 KO)

In just 12 games, Liefering have racked up 27 goals for and 24 against – so an average score each game of about 2-2. At home they are good, but away they have been conceding 4’s and 5’s against some of their opponents, but still scoring most, if not all games regardless of result. The stats look good for it too:

1. Liefering have had 7 over 3.5’s out of 12 this season, with 3/6 away from home.
2. Salzburg have had 4 over 3.5’s in 12 this season, with 2/6 coming at home.
3. The last meeting this season ended 5-3
4. Both teams concede (on average) at least 2 goals per game, while Liefering score 2 GPG, Salzburg around 1.5 GPG

These sort of games are either completely dull, or full of goals – rarely anything inbetween

2. Amiens-Lucon Over 2.5 Goals @ 27/20 (French National, 1930 KO – NAP)

These two are among, if not – the top teams in the National league, based on goals. 25 in 9 for Amiens, and 23 in 9 for Lucon.

Amiens have a record of 6 over 2.5 in 9 games this season, while Lucon have 5 over 2.5 in 9 games. 5 in a row for Amiens, with 2/4 at home, and 3/5 for Lucon away. Their last two meetings have ended 2-1 and 3-2 to Lucon – but this should be a very even game as both are in good form. BTTS was not available for me, but this is as good, if not better value!

3. Bourg Peronnas Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 6/5 vs Nimes (Ligue 2, 1900 KO)

Bourg Peronnas have been a revelation this season after coming up from the National last season. Very high scorers, with 16 – but equally high at letting them in – with 15. They have won 4 of their last 5 home games, and have scored in 11/12 games this season in league and cup, scoring 2+ in 6, and winning 4/6 at home and scoring 2+ in 3.

Nimes are in poor form, and even if they had not been docked 8 points they would still be in the bottom 3. They have lost 4 of their last 5 away games 1-0, beating Metz in what was the shock of the season so far in my eyes. Of their last 10 away games they have lost all but a couple, and with Peronnas so good at home I’d be shocked if they did not bag a couple. Nimes have a little fight in them, so a goal for them wouldn’t be a surprise. I think it will be the pick of the French games tonight!

4. Mouscron Peruwelz-Gent BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/5 (Belgian Pro League, 1930 KO)

Mouscron have been very good of late, beating both Brugge and Lokeren 2-1. They are one of the highest average goals games in the league at just over 3 per game (scored and conceded…) – a total of 30 – 13 scored, 17 conceded. 3 BTTS + Over 2.5’s in the last 5 games and 6 in 10 overall, with 2 further games being BTTS.

League wise, Gent have had 4 BTTS + Over 2.5 in their last 5 games – which is the only four they have had this season, as well as 3 BTTS. That means just 3 clean sheets in 10 games, and with the previous meet a 3-1 win, I feel their tendencies to concede the solitary goal each game couple with Mouscron’s sudden improvement means this is a solid bet for tonight.

If you want something a little riskier – BTTS Both Halves in the A Salzburg-Liefering game @ 7/1 as well as Gent + BTTS @ 9/4 pays 25/1 with Bet365 – and if you take into account the previous meeting in both cases this would have landed last time!

On another note – Aberdeen look good value @ 10/11 vs Ross County tonight, but I have trust issues with Scottish football, hence why it has been left out.

Having ran the prices through the calculator, this pays approx 22.75/1.

Best of luck!
