Good morning all!
Back to a winner yesterday…finally! The Romanian game picked easily went over 2.5 goals @ 27/20, with the customary red card and several penalties (scored and missed). Today there is pretty much a full card in the Football League and Conference – I have four picks that looks excellent value:
1. Portsmouth Win @ 11/10 vs Crawley Town (League Two, 1945 KO – NAP)
Portsmouth look like they could win this league at a canter! 2-1 and 3-0 wins in the league were followed by an impressive 2-1 win over Derby in the cup, while Crawley are losing their best players and have lost 2-1 and 2-0 in League and Cup, while drawing 1-1 with Oxford. They do not look great, with so many new players trying to mould with the few remaining players making them look quite an average team at the moment. Pompey should win this and make it 3/3 in the league.
2. Grimsby -1 Goal Handicap @ 5/4 vs Altrincham (Football Conference, 1945 KO)
Grimsby have played two promoted teams already, and beaten both 4-1. 2-2 was the other score vs Kidderminster, but they have started well and should be promoted this time around with Barnet and Bristol Rovers out of the way. Altrincham have had 3 games, and lost them all so far. 4 conceded, none scored and with Grimsby looking ominously in form, it could be a long night for the new-boys!
3. Sheff Utd-Peterborough BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/4 (League One, 1930 KO)
Since their drubbing against Gillingham on the opening day, Sheff Utd have looked more the team we expected in the current campaign. Peterborough on the other hand have looked good in spells, with Marcus Maddison pulling them out of a hole Saturday with two very good goals. These two played out two 2-1’s last season, and with both’s attacking options looking good, you would think there would be goals this time around. Washington, Maddison, Adams, Sharp and Gormley are just five of the forwards that should provide goals.
4. Dag & Red-Exeter BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/10 (League Two, 1945 KO)
These two always play out some good games! D & R have already had 4-1, 3-1 and 3-0 losses this season, while Exeter have won 3-2, 2-1 and lost 3-0. The last three meetings over the last 18 months have ended 2-1, 2-1 (both to Exeter) and 2-2. Tom Nichols looks to be in fine form once again this season after his exploits during the last campaign – 13/8 as an A/T scorer looks good value, as does the win if I’m honest but given previous, BTTS + Overs looks a better bet.
Here are the combinations I think are suitable for this evening:
1. NAP: 1 @ 11/10
2. Double: 2 + 3 @ 5/1
3. Treble: 1-3 @ 11/1
4. Accumulator: 1-4 @ 25/1
Don’t forget you can still enter our fantasy football league – it is open until the Transfer window shuts, and with 450+ entrants so far – it’s looking like a very good league! Points for the first two gameweeks are counted, so you will not be starting from scratch.
Best of luck
