We start again, refreshed after a day without any football tips. Just two games I fancy today – one in the National League and one in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, both BTTS + Over 2.5 and a nice 3.5/1 double:
1. Welling-Bromley BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 (National League, 1945 KO – NAP)
Welling have been good at home, scoring in all 7 games and only losing two. They have won 4 in a row overall – and look good to at least score in this one given Bromley have conceded 19 in their 7 away games so far. Bromley have also been in good form, losing on the weekend after a string of 6 straight wins. They are the league’s top scorers with 29, but have conceded 25. BTTS + Over 2.5 has landed in 5 of their 7 away games, while with Welling – 5 BTTS in 7 home, with 3 being over 2.5 as well. Evens seems a very good price!
2. Gillingham-Luton BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/5 (JP Trophy, 1945 KO)
Gillingham’s home form has been exemplary this season with 5 wins and a draw from 6 games. Results of 3-3, 5-1, 2-1, 1-0, 2-0 and 4-0 make for good reading if you are a fan. Luton on the other hand have high scoring tendancies away from home, with scores of 4-1, 3-1, 2-3, 3-1, 2-3 and 1-1. They have scored in 13 of their 14 games and conceded in 12 of 14 so have frailties.
Having read the pre-game reports, Justin Edinburgh is going to rest a few players, while Luton are also going to rest the likes of Craig Mackail-Smith. 2 goal hero Jack Marriott could get a start after coming on on the weekend and bagging a brace.
Gillingham + BTTS @ 11/4 was very tempting but going safe with BTTS + Over 2.5 @ 6/5.
There were a few other games I liked – such as Dover to win @ 4/5 vs Torquay and Coventry to win @ 10/11 vs Yeovil – but for me it must be evens to be considered good value, and other markets on those two look a bit risky.
Best of luck
