Selected Shocks

This is our 2nd round of these this season – and the first time we picked 3 winners from 5, including 4/1 and 7/1. This is where we pick out value from all over the shop where we think there could be an upset on the cards. Here are our 5 picks for this weekend:

1. Olimpik Donetsk 3/1 vs Metalurg Zaporizhya

Olimpik started really badly, getting humped a few times. Since then, they have been on a great run and sit 4th in the league. Metalurg are the perenial relegation side, but have been spared this several times because other teams have been demoted, or last season Sevastopol and Tavriya got kicked out as they were no longer part of Ukraine…but Russia! Zap are in rubbish form. 3/1 away is cracking value!

2. Zulte Waregem 4/1 vs Standard Liege

Liege are in awful form – lost Ezekiel and Batshuayi in the summer (their two best and most talented players) and have been losing ever since. Waregem no longer have Thorgan Hazard, but are a strong team, capable of beating any side in the league. 4/1 a top price!

3. Leicester 5/2 vs Newcastle

Newcastle cannot defend for toffee – they leak goals, Fab Coloccini is having a mare at the moment, and Mike Williamson, Paul Dummet and Steven Taylor do not fill you with confidence. Leicester have Ulloa in top form, with others capable of causing problems. This should be full of goals, possibly a 5 goal thriller. Fancy Leicester to bag some points here

4. Evian 7/1 vs Monaco

Evian looked like going down with a whimper just a few weeks ago, but 3 wins a row have brought them back! Monaco on the other hand are in pretty poor form, and are struggling after losing their two key players over the summer. A longshot but very possible!

5. Targu Mures 3/1 vs Pandurii

Targu are in very good form, sitting 6th in the league in their first season back up. Pandurii are 13th and in the relegation spots, in average form. Good chance they can bag a win this weekend, 3/1 a top price for Targu!

55/1 Treble Suggestion

1. Targu Mures @ 3/1
2. Olimpik Donetsk @ 3/1
3. Leicester @ 5/2

Best of luck
