Weekend Preview // European Leagues

Another weekend is upon us, and it’s been a decent week. Very unlucky last night – Liefering scored 2, but had over 20 shots against a very poor side. PSG equally had plenty of chances and possession but failed to convert. Both won, but failed to get the extra goal needed.

4/1 and 21.5/1 doubles during the week, with some very close accumulators. There is little value on Sunday, so all 6 of these are for today:

Low Risk:

Tondela vs Benfica: Benfica -1 Goal Handicap @ 4/5 (Portuguese Primeira, 2030 KO)

Benfica are just ridiculous. They already won last seasons’ league with relative ease but have gone out and signed Andre Carillo from Lisbon, Andrija Zivkovic, Andre Horta, Luka Jovic, Oscar Benitez and Fraco Cervi. Alex Grimaldo has also signed up – a very promising left back from Barcelona.

They face a Tondela side that conceded fairly heavily last season, and lost 4-0 and 4-1 to Benfica. They conceded over 50 in 34 games, but struggled against the bigger teams. With all the new signings – I think they will struggle to keep Benfica out!

Gefle vs Norrkoping: Norrkoping Win @ 7/10 (Swedish Allsvenskan, 1500 KO)

Norrkoping are the form team of the Swedish league! They have scored 40 goals in 18 games, while conceding just 17. Gefle are cannon fodder at the bottom of the table along with Falkenbergs – conceding 39 goals and scoring 16. In their last four meetings, over the last 2 seasons – Norrkoping have won 2-0, 4-1, 2-1 and 2-1, but are in much better form this season having gone into it as Champions. Decent value considering, but this game will feature in a later bet as the handicaps offer tremendous value!

Medium Risk:

Mlada Boleslav vs Karvina: Mlada Boleslav -1 Goal Handicap @ 1/1 (Czech First League, 1600 KO)

Mlada Boleslav won 11 of 15 home games last season, scoring 44 goals! They are incredibly good at home, while they face newly promoted Karvina, who conceded 5 in their first game, and 6 in their first two. Mlada have won both games – 1-0 and 3-0, and with a very strong all-round squad I think they will take Karvina apart, like they did to Slovan Liberec a few weeks ago!

Gefle vs Norrkoping: Norrkoping -1 Goal Asian Handicap @ 11/10 (Swedish Allsvenskan, 1500 KO)

As previously mentioned – Norrkoping are in great form, and with Gefle leaking goals left, right and centre – they should have a field day!

A one goal win is literally the least I expect here, but I think they will score 3/4 goals!

High Risk:

Krylia Samara vs Krasnodar: Krasnodar -1 Goal Handicap @ 7/4 (Russian Premier League, 1600 KO)

Krasnodar have an array of talent – Wanderson, Joaozinho, Ari, Smolov…between those four they have an attacking force to reckon with! Smolov has 24 goals in 31 games since his move. They are top of the league after a great start, scoring 7 goals in 2 games. Krylia have lost both games, both 1-0. They look very flat when attacking, very little threat and did a ‘Sunderland’ last season, winning 3 games in the last 5 to survive.

Last seasons two meets ended 3-0 and 4-0 to Krasnodar, with the above players all heavily involved. Smolov is the one to watch, but the others all chip in with a lot of goals!

Lungskile vs Sirius: Sirius -1 Goal Handicap @ 21/10 (Swedish Superettan, 1500 KO)

It’s pretty much top vs bottom again in this one – Sirius are romping their way to the Allsvenskan, 40 points so far and winning games with ease. They have won 8 of their last 10 games, and 5 of which were by -1 or better! Lungskile are better at home than away, but against a teams as strong as this, they will struggle – as they did last time, in a 3-1 loss to the leaders.

In Dragan Kepcevic, they have the leagues top scorer with 13 goals already! The 30 year old Bosnian is in great form and I think between him and the rest of his team-mates, they should win this!
