Weekend Preview // Top 10 Tips

Hi all

3rd weekend of the season, and after many a red card and poor fortune – we are confident once again going into the weekend! As usual, we are picking 10 games for the weekend – 5 Saturday and 5 Sunday

1. Swansea Win @ 11/10 vs Sunderland (Premier League, 1500 KO)

Sunderland look so poor! Very much favourites for relegation, with two games gone – 7 conceded and the manager gobsmacked as to how the team are so poor. They may have decent strikers and wingers, but at the back they are still weak. Swansea have started well, with a 2-2 draw vs Chelsea and a 2-0 win over Newcastle. Their front-line of Ayew, Montero and Gomis look very dangerous, with Shelvey looking good once again and Sigurdsson classy as usual Win @ 11/10 looks tremendous value!

2. Basel -1 Goal Handicap @ 11/8 vs Lugano (Swiss Super League, 1645 KO)

Basel have started well, winning 5/5 games and scoring plenty. 4 of those 5 games they have won by -1 goal. Lugano were promoted last season but have lost 3 of the first 5 – 6-1, 3-2 and 2-0. Basel should muller this side into the ground, with the likes of Delgado and Embolo in form. These two have not met for 5 years or so, and even then Basel hammered them each time they met. Would have preferred Win + Over 2.5 Goals, but 365 offering Win + Over 3.5.

3. Coventry-Walsall Over 2.5 Goals @ 21/20 (League One, 1500 KO)

These two have both started well, with Walsall scoring freely and winning 2 out of 3 games – Tom Bradshaw in great form. Coventry are equally in good form – 3 wins from 3 with Adam Armstrong, Newcastle’s 18 year old striker scoring 5 goals in those 3 games. I was tempted by DNB for Coventry, but this game could go either way and with both conceding plenty, I fancy over 2.5 goals @ 21/20

4. Valencia Win @ 6/5 vs Vallecano (La Liga, 2130 KO)

Valencia have purchased excellently so far this summer. The likes of Rodrigo, Perez and Cancelo have been signed permanently for over £40m, while Alvaro Negredo returns from Man City. Vallecano are a decent outfit with a good manager, but should be overpowered with a side that contains Feghouli, Paco and plenty more!

5. Rovaniemi-Ilves BTTS @ 1/1 (Finnish Veikkausliiga, 1400 KO)

The Finnish league is usually a low scorer. A lot of 1 goal games, if that. However in this case, there is usually plenty. Rovaniemi have a record of 4 BTTS in their last 5 home games, while Ilves have a record of 4 in 5 away games. In terms of previous meetings, 4 games between the two and three of those have been BTTS.

1. Lech Poznan-Piast BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/10 (Polish Ekstraklasa, 1430 KO)

Poznan are in poor form after a long run in the early rounds of European competition. Piast on the other hand sit top of the league – with both sides having a record of 3 out of 5 for BTTS + Over 2.5 goals. In the last 5 meetings, the scores have been 3-2, 4-0, 4-0, 2-0 and 3-0, but with the consideration of form, I’d fancy Piast to bag a goal or two against a confidence-devoid Lech.

2. Lokomotiv Moscow Win @ 1/1 vs Ufa (Russian PL, 1130 KO)

This is a very early kick off. Form wise, we have it on our side. Moscow have won their three away games so far this season, and drawn both home games. They sit in the top 3 at the moment, and look value to get into europe again. They have a quality squad, and should beat a Ufa side they have struggled against before. It should be a fairly low scoring affair, with all three meets having 1 goal or less. Ufa have won just one of 5 games so far, drawing/losing 2 apiece.

3. Saratov Win @ 1/1 vs Kamaz (Russian 1st Division, 1500 KO)

Saratov have started the season well, with four wins and two draws in 7 games, sitting well in the too four at the moment. Kamaz on the other hand have lost all 7 of their games, and look dreadful – conceding 15 and scoring exactly 0. This looks fantastic value!

4. Altach-Admira Wacker BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 23/20 (Austrian Bundesliga, 1800 KO)

Admira were nearly relegated last season. Now, at the start of this one – they sit 2nd and are playing very well, beating Salzburg 2-0. Altach have had to play in the Europa League, so their form in the league has suffered. Altach have a record of 3 BTTS + Over 2.5’s in their 5 games, while Admira have a record of 4 BTTS + Over 2.5’s, with their other game simply being BTTS. The last meet between the two ended 2-2.

5. Dortmund Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 vs Ingolstadt (Bundesliga, 1430 KO)

Dortmund look back to their normal selves. Thomas Tuchel is the next ‘Klopp’ type manager and after leaving Mainz at the end of the season before last, he has taken up his new job. He has them playing well, but still conceding. They beat Monchengladbach 4-0, but then conceded 3 midweek to Odd, but still won 4-3 after being 3-0 down. Ingoldstadt were promoted last season and beat Mainz 1-0 last weekend, but I think they will get a trouncing this weekend.

My 6 fold this weekend from these tips would have to be the following:

1. Swansea @ 21/20
2. Basel -1 @ 11/8
3. Admira-Altach BTTS + Over 2.5 @ 23/20
4. Valencia @ 6/5
5. Dortmund + Over 2.5 @ 11/10
6. Saratov @ 1/1

This pays roughly 100/1 with Bet365.

Best of luck for the weekend – tips will be up in the morning for Saturday.
