Friday see’s the start of the Copa Del Rey last 32 – over the weekend there are the whole La Liga in action – Today you have Sociedad, Sevilla, Betis, Villarreal and Barca, as well as a few more. Tips will be up from 10am as Betis start at 11.
With no real idea as to which sides (First or Second String) the odds are quite good – Betis are 5/6 against 3rd Division Lleida, Barca are just over 1/6 against 3rd Division Cartagena, Sociedad 11/20 against Algeciras and Sevilla 3/4 against Santander, who were relegated from the Segunda last season (Spanish Championship).
Having done a little research, I know that Barcelona have named a strong 17 man squad, with only two youth players involved, and they are around 2/5 to win at -1 (Handicap). Unless a Fenerbache vs Fethiyespor happens again we are hoping that sort of bet should come home comfortably.
This has been a week of shocks, with the likes of Gaziantepspor, Fener, Besiktas and more Turkish giants exiting the Turkish Kupasi, even Galatasaray went to extra time – this for a small team, like some of who these Spanish La Liga teams are facing, is their moment in the spotlight – the quality of the Giants should come through, if they play a good enough team, but should they rest too many you could see a few draws that would not be expected.
Anyway, here are today’s tips, not many, but what we mustered:
- Betis/Debrecen – 2.5/1
- Villarreal/Sociedad/Sevilla – 3.5/1
- Barcelona/Benfica/Zenit/Galatasaray – 1.25/1
- Juventus/Willem II/Maastricht – 3/1
