So, another round of Shock Selections. We have had 4 or 5 winners in the past couple of weeks, including 4, 5, 6 and 7/1’s. Today we see a few games that could upset the odds, and here they are:
Stoke 6/1 vs Liverpool – Back in September, Liverpool were very fortunate to come away with a 1-0 win. Now, playing them at the Britannia, and with their away form being far from great, we fancy Stoke to do Liverpool, 2-1 (Our guess). 6/1 is a good price.
Verona 12/5 vs Napoli – Verona are outstanding at home, losing just once to Chievo. Napoli can be indifferent at times. Will Luca Toni, Italy’s forgotten man, lead Hellas to another home victory? 12/5 the price.
Espanyol (7/1 Win, 4/1 Draw) vs Real Madrid – the last two games between these two have ended in draws. Real often struggle away from home against teams like these, who are hard to break down. Bale and Ronaldo will be the difference, but if they are kept quiet it could be an interesting game.
Atromitos 18/5 vs Olympiakos – Both these sides go into the fixture unbeaten in 6 (Atromitos, Olympiakos are unbeaten all season). This is one time Olympiakos could be challenged, Atromitos are 3rd. The reverse of this game ended 2-1 Olymp – but away from home could they be beaten?
Reims 13/2 vs Lille – Reims are incredibly hard to break down, and often take points off top teams, such as Monaco. Lille are great at home, but fresh from a Winter break and a bout of cup games, could they lapse?
These are our picks for today, yes they maybe longshots but form suggests it is possible! Best of luck…
