Another day of 1/2 – with Slovakia Over 2.5 Cards not getting anywhere near as they were so far ahead for much of the game that there was no need to put in tackles like they normally do. Romania-Switzerland BTTS landed easily 1/1 though.
Today is a mix of myself and Kieron’s views – fortunately we both agree, so here is a 5/1 double:
England vs Wales: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 15/8 (Group B, 1400 KO)
Two contrasting emotions from the two teams opening games in the competition; England heartbroken in the dying minutes to walk away with a draw, whilst Wales surprised many by notching up an impressive three points. England dominated against Russia but only managed to find the net from an Eric Dier free kick without carving out too many other real chances. Wales were somewhat fortunate at 1-1 with a miss hit Robson-Kanu goal enough to seal a win.
Wales play like best mates; they are over the moon just to be involved and are making sure they if nothing else enjoy the experience. Wales have serious defensive issues and lack any real creativity England should be far too much for them and I can’t see England struggling in front of goal again like they did against Russia. As much as England should be dominant, they too have proven on many occasions they are anything but certain at the back and Gareth Bale will cause serious problems.
Ukraine vs Northern Ireland: Ukraine Over 1.5 Goals @ 11/10 (Group C, 1700 KO)
I watched both of these sides in their opening matches, and they both walked away with losses. Ukraine of course although losing did so to world champions Germany and certainly shouldn’t be too downbeat about the performance they put in. Northern Ireland on the other hand should be seriously concerned they struggled to really create anything, they remained resilient at the back against an unusually lack-luster Lewandowski but rarely got beyond the half way line. I can’t see beyond a Ukraine victory here and feel although credit to Poland, they will offer more threat going forward to Northern Ireland and will be looking to catch up as early on as possible. Ukraine have a lot more threat across more positions and will be confident of getting back on track here with Poland underdogs against Germany.
Best of luck
