Last night was a bit of a bust – Portugal set out to frustrate Wales and did so brilliantly. Corners – 3 short, while the BTTS failed as did the game being settled in extra time, since they won 2-0 in 90 minutes.
Today see’s an even harder game to call – Germany vs France.
The Germans are missing Mats Hummels through suspension, and will probably go back to a 4-2-3-1, as the 3-4-3/3-5-2 didn’t really work against Italy. Mario Gomez and Sami Khedira are also out through injury, which means the likes of Gotze or Sane could come into contention. Muller is likely to lead the line, while Howedes will replace Hummels.
With France’ attacking strength, and defensive frailty – I think it will be a cracking game. Germany are missing three key men, and with the Gotze etc failing to impress when given the chance, I think France have the best chance of beating them.
France have problems of their own – Iceland scored 2 against them, Ireland put them in some uncomfortable positions while Albania and Romania also gave them problems. Their back four is ageing – Rami, Evra and Sagna all past their best, and Koscielny one that makes the occasional error in big games. Going forward, Payet, Pogba, Griezmann, Giroud – all in fine form. Kante should return, though Sissoko could feature again after impressing.
With cards and corners being very unpredictable with these two, I’m staying away from those two markets. With both missing key men, I think goals could be the market to go for.
BTTS is only 5/6, while Over 2.5 is 13/10.
BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/8 is my selection!
Best of luck
