Happy New Year all! First tips of 2017, and another near-full set of fixtures across the card in England today. Looks like its going to be another cold one too – so don’t be surprised by a few postponements…
Mixed markets across the four leagues today – but all what looks to be cracking value:
Notts Forest vs Barnsley: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 (Championship, 1500 KO)
Forest and Barnsley have one thing in common. They both can’t stop scoring, and can’t stop conceding! Barnsley have scored 42 and conceded 37, while Forest have scored 37 and conceded 44. In just 24 matches, they both average over 3 goals per game. When they last met in November, it ended 5-2 to Forest. Evens is an amazing price!
Bury vs Sheff Utd: Sheff Utd Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/10 (League One, 1500 KO)
This looks another game set for goals. Bury have scored 17 and conceded 20 in their 10 home games so far, as well as having 8 BTTS + Over 2.5’s in their last 10 home games. Sheff Utd have only kept one clean sheet in their last 10 away matches, but have won a fair few of them – even when not at their best, they face a Bury side on the back of a score of straight home losses (currently 6). With Billy Sharp leading the line, I can’t see Bury stopping them.
Walsall vs Rochdale: Rochdale Win @ 6/5 (League One, 1500 KO)
Rochdale are in very good form – on a win-streak of 9 at home, but even away are still too hot to handle for most. At draw-specialists Walsall, they come up against a side they walloped 4-0 about 6 weeks ago, and one not on the greatest of runs. 6/5 looks fab value!
Doncaster vs Stevenage: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 (League Two, 1500 KO)
Both of these sides are in good form. Stevenage have won 6 away games in a row, including over teams like Portsmouth, while Doncaster have won 8 of 11 at home and are unbeaten. In their previous meeting this season, it ended 4-3 to Donny in a classic game, and although I’m not expecting anything like that, it should still produce goals, with both having over 75 combined (scored/conceded) so far this season, which is an average of over 3!
All in all this pays around 20/1 – with the two BTTS + Overs bets my favourite two, with a double including them paying 3.2/1.
Best of luck!
