After Thursday’s successful evening, Friday was a dud. Liefering ended 0-0, despite dominating much of the game they just couldn’t find a way through, while Katowice held a 1-0 lead for the last 60 and should have scored again given the amount of chances they had.
Four selections for Saturday:
Newcastle vs Cardiff: Newcastle Over 2.5 Team Goals @ 7/4 (Championship, 1500 KO)
Newcastle are in a tremendous patch of form, and since their loss to Wolves in September, have barely dropped a point! They have hit 17 home goals in 7 games – and if you look at who they were against, you will see the following: 6 vs Preston, 3 vs Brentford, 4 vs Norwich, 3 vs Ipswich…defensively sound teams are going there and getting hammered. Cardiff sit in the bottom three, and although Dwight Gayle is missing, Aleksandar Mitrovic has scored four in his last two games. Including cup game, 27 goals in 10 home games…impressive stuff!
Hamburg vs Dortmund: Dortmund Over 2.5 Team Goals @ 6/4 (Bundesliga, 1430 KO)
Dortmund have had a disrupted season thus far – 5th in the table, 20 goals scored but each game their injury list has been nearly 10 players. Most have returned now, baring the likes of Durm and Res, but with Aubameyang, Dembele and the likes of Castro, they should be back to near their best. They face Hamburg, who are rooted to the bottom of the table, and winless in 9, with 7 losses.
Norwich vs Leeds: Norwich Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 2/1 (Championship, 1500 KO)
Norwich are up there in terms of the league standings, scoring well but defensively they are a worry. This sort of bet is perfect as they could easily score 3 against anyone, but equally like last weekend can also concede a few (or five…). Leeds have been solid but unspectacular this season, and weather it’s 3-0 or 2-1, this bet covers it. Could Leeds take something? Possibly, but in 8 home games this season, Norwich have won 6, and 5 of those have been over 2.5 goals and conceding in all 5.
Chelsea vs Everton: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 (Premier League, 1730 KO)
Fourth placed Chelsea welcome sixth placed Everton at Stamford bridge, both teams are in very good form at the moment and this could be a considerably high scoring game. Chelsea hold a decent defensive record of nine goals conceded but face a side high on confidence with an again in form Lukaku. Everton have managed to score fifteen times thus far which isn’t particularly groundbreaking; but they have only failed to score on one occasion. Chelsea scoring seems to be a given; notching 23 goals and again like Everton have failed to score once. Eight of Chelsea’s matches have finished over 2.5 goals whilst Everton have had four.
My top double would be the Championship duo @ a price of 7.5/1, while the accumulator pays around 43/1.
A solid First Goalscorer double from these would be Mitrovic @ 4/1 and Aubameyang @ 11/4 – both in form, and both the lead striker. 17.75/1 is the odds for that!
Best of luck!
