We had a day off yesterday, with little worth betting on in my eyes. The Boro-Hull game lived up to the dull expectations in what was a rather boring evening all round! Tuesday brings the return of the Champions League for the final time in 2016 – and the last group game brings a whole new issue, which is certain teams being qualified already, leading to plenty of dead rubbers. There are a few however which have a lot left to play for, weather it be who finishes top, or who drops into the Europa League. Two tips for this evening, with a couple of options:
Basel vs Arsenal: Arsenal Win @ 6/5 (1945 KO, Champions League)
Arsenal are level on points with PSG, with both having 11 points, winning three and drawing the games against each other. It might well come down to goal different, or goals scored – and with both having easier opposition, it should mean one thing – goals! Sanchez is on fire, Ozil looks at his best, Oxlade Chamberlain is also looking very handy!
Sanchez has to be the pick – 6/4 any time, 5/1 first goalscorer – and a wincast of Sanchez A/T + Arsenal win pays a massive 5/2!
Benfica vs Napoli: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 (1945 KO, Champions League)
This is the most intriguing group of the lot, I’d say! Benfica and Napoli are in 8 points, with Besiktas (only one win to their name) are in 3rd with 7. If these two drew, and Besiktas beat already eliminated Kyiv – either could head out!
In Naples, it ended 4-2 around a month ago. I’m expecting a similar game, despite Benfica’s excellent home record – just 2 goals conceded there this season! The Champions League is a different kettle of fish however…
With no Milik in the team, I fancy Dries Mertens to find the net at a very healthy 2/1 A/T price!
The match double pays around 3.7/1, while an A/T goalscorer duo of Sanchez & Mertens is in excess of 5/1.
Best of luck!
