Once again, we took a day away from the International action and I’m very glad! Switzerland were the one I really looked at, but they only beat Andorra 2-1. A lot of the others were very scrappy games, and even Bet365’s -6 handicap line @ 1/1 on Gibraltar vs Belgium which so many were on just failed, with the Belgians winning 6-0.
Today is the last day of international action until next month – and there are two games in particular that take my fancy:
Slovenia vs England: England -1 Goal Asian Handicap @ 6/5 (Group F, 1945 KO)
It’s finally happened…England have dropped the undroppable man, Wayne Rooney. Eric Dier will replace him, and alongside Henderson and Alli in a midfield three, with the likes of Walcott, Sturridge and Lingard ahead of them – I really think England will take advantage of a team in similar disarray – with Kevin Kampl being the focus of much attention in the Slovenian media after he withdrew from their squad because he was ‘tired’.
Against better opposition, who will actually attack England – the counter attacking speed that the home nation can break with should cause their opponents all sorts of issues, and with 14 straight wins, a one goal minimum victory is what I’m expecting.
Poland vs Armenia: Poland -2 Goal Handicap @ 13/10 (Group E, 1945 KO)
Armenia played Romania at home the other day, and within 40 minutes were 4-0 down. An early red card lead to a horrid 5-0 result, but with no Mkhitaryan and Mosviysen – I don’t see them causing Poland any problems. One particular value bet is Lewandowski 2+ Goals @ 13/8, or FGS @ 2/1 – he should have fun against a very poor defence that will be missing the sent off player from the Romania game.
A 3 goal win is on the cards – and given the attacking strength of Poland, they are value at -2 here!
Both very good bets – with Lewandowski (First Goalscorer, or 2+ Goals) a man to look out for in the goalscoring markets.
Best of luck!
