A strange day overall yesterday – starting so well with Arsenal winning to nil and Bayern winning with the handicap, both around the Evens mark – but then Dortmund and Leipzig both messed up big-time against two of the worst sides in the league and Spurs couldn’t manage a goal at Liverpool.
On the 8-fold – 5 out of 7 with one to play, the aforementioned Dortmund and Leipzig games downing that – with Galatasaray to play. They are where I start for today:
Galatasaray vs Kayserispor: Galatasaray -1 Goal Handicap @ 11/10 (Turkish Super Lig, 1600 KO)
Galatasaray aren’t the force they once were, but are in good form at home and face a team who are god-awful away from home. Unless a Leipzig-style mess up occurs, I can only see an easy win by 2-3 goals. With Oztekin, Derdiyok and Bruma all in the goals – there is no isolated threat from them, which is always a bonus. They are scoring freely – 24 in 9 home games with 7 wins in those. Kayserispor have lost 7 of their last 9 away games, not conceding excessively but at a rate that makes me comfortable with the handicap on the bet.
Lumezanne vs Venezia: Venezia Win to Nil @ 8/5 (Italian Lega Pro B, 1330 KO)
Lumezanne take on league leaders Venezia in what the bookies are expecting to be a close, goal-free game (Over 2.5 is 13/10!) – and there is good reason for their thinking. Lumezanne have only conceded 21 in 24 games, and scored less than 20. Venezia on the other hand have scored 36 in 24, and conceded 20 – but away from home they have scored 12 and conceded 5 in 11 games! They are very good at winning 1-0, which is a trait that happens a lot with Italian sides…
Lumezanne on the other hand, at home – have scored just 6 goals and conceded only 7! In a collective 23 games at home for Lumezanne and away for Venezia – there have been just 30 goals! The home side are on a run of 4 consecutive losses, while the away side have won 4 of their last 5 – so going with form and picking the away side to win, and the home side to draw a blank!
The double pays around 4/1
Best of luck
