It’s been rather quiet this last week or so – nothing from us since Sunday, with the Checkatrade Trophy not something that interested us.
One round of World Cup qualifying and one round of Friendlies means it isn’t going to get much busier over the next week, but this is the first of two accumulators that cover the next three days of action:
Malta vs Slovenia: Slovenia -1 Goal Handicap @ 4/6 (1945 KO, Friday)
Slovenia nearly beat England a month ago, and to add to that they probably have to win this if they want to go any further in trying to get to Russia 2018. Malta are the groups’ gimme games – 6 points should be taken by most, if not all teams. England may only have scored a few, but Scotland managed 5 against them. Slovenia have a decent side which, like against England, should cause issues for the Maltese defence.
San Marino vs Germany: Germany -5 Goal Handicap @ 8/15 (1945 KO, Friday)
Friday’s other game see’s the mighty Germany take on San Marino, and although history suggests it should be a mauling, Germany have played the likes of Gibraltar recently and got to 4-5 goals and then kind of stopped. This time I think they might get a few more – goal difference is like an extra point and this is the easiest chance they will get to add to it.
Slovakia vs Lithuania: Slovakia Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 4/6 (1945 KO, Friday)
One final game for Friday…Slovakia take on Lithuania. The latter are often hard to break down, but Slovakia are a very handy side with players like Mak and Hamsik that can hurt teams. Lithuania are often tough to break down, but with Slovakia needing this win, I don’t see much else other than a 2-3 goal win.
Turkey vs Kosovo: Turkey Over 2.5 Team Goals @ 8/11 (1700 KO, Saturday)
Since making their debut, Kosovo have been decent – picking up a draw in Finland. However, against better sides they look frail at the back, and with Turkey having a fantastic team, they could be on the end of a Croatia-like result. So much quality wherever you look with Turkey, 3 goals should occur for them.
Luxembourg vs Holland: Holland -1 Goal Handicap @ 1/2 (1700 KO, Sunday)
Although Holland have been awful of late, this is the type of game to redeem themselves slightly. Luxembourg are pretty terrible – and with the pace and power of the Dutch, I don’t see them stopping them!
Switzerland vs Faroe Islands: Swiss Win to Nil @ 4/7 (1700KO, Sunday)
Switzerland have a top back four – including Rodriguez and Liechsteiner. At home, against one of the minnows, even at 1/7 on, I don’t see them conceding. The Faroes have their moments, but on Sunday I really can’t see them scoring.
As mentioned, this pays around 15/1 with Bet365, though having used the Oddschecker app, pays a little more with some of the lesser known bookies.
Best of luck!
