It was another day of ‘so close but yet so far’ – Chelsea and PSG racked up 5 yellows after 70 minutes, but the referee did not produce it again despite numerous niggly fouls. The corner tip landed for that one, PSG -1 @ 5/6 – despite being 3-1 down at HT they won around 9-3. In the Benfica game, we were 2 corners short in what was a close, but good game.
If you used our advice on the Bet365 offer last night, then you will have come out with around £25-35 in profit, as ‘Over 1.5 First Half Goals’ went out to around 3/1 within a minute or two, and then two late goals in the half meant it won, so a total of £150 wagered and £175-180 returned.
Today I am going to stick with my Preview:
Roma vs Real Madrid: Real Madrid -1 Goal Asian Handicap @ 7/5
Real Madrid usually pull out the big performances for the Champions League – and I’m thinking they will do similar today. Roma have been good at home, but concede to poor teams on regular occasions – just 3 clean sheets in their last 10 home games! Real have been iffy away, but today of all day’s I believe they will bring their A game!
Gent vs Wolfsburg: Gent Win @ 2/1
Gent have won 17 of their last 22 home games – with one loss to Charleroi. They have some fantastic players in-form, including the goalscoring midfielder Sven Kums, and newly capped Belgium striker Laurent Depoitre. They won 2 and drew the other in the group stages (at home) while Wolfsburg are doing a fine ‘Man Utd’ impression – spending plenty of big name players but not managing to get them performing consistently enough. They lost twice away in the Group stage. Gent know they have to get something at home, as Wolfsburg are decent when at home. This might be a fairly dull game, but I’m going for a Gent win @ 2/1.
As a double, this pays in excess of 5/1!
Best of luck
