Quite a mixed bag Sunday – Salzburg winning 6-1 for the handicaps to come in, while Feyenoord dominated but managed a 1-0 win, and then the shocker – 2/9 favourites Legia losing 3-1 at home to Ruch! Unreal…
A trio of tips for Tuesday – starting off in the Champions League:
Man City vs Monaco: Monaco Win or Draw @ 11/8 (1945 KO, Champions League)
Monaco are arguably the in-form side of European football right now. Full of attacking talent, and a reinvigorated Falcao – they will fear nobody, and as show by PSG – the best are beatable, and Man City are far from that. Defensively frail, without Jesus (whom they seemed reliant on after just 2/3 games) with a manager in charge that doesn’t seem upto the challenge – mainly due to the fact he hasn’t had one until now given the teams and players he has managed being so much better than the rest.
Monaco, 11/8 to get a point (or a draw, no points at this stage) – is unbelievable value. With the likes of Bernardo Silva and Thomas Lemar, to name a couple – they have a fantastic side that would rival that of the one that got to the final in 2003, that eventually lost to Mourinho’s Porto.
Huddersfield vs Reading: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/8 (1945 KO, Championship)
This is the mini-battle going on below the Newcastle-Brighton battle, and should Huddersfield win, they are right in the mix with them. Should Reading win, it will put some breathing space between the top two and the chasing duo, but only a point less than a Huddersfield win would – for the top two, a draw would be ideal.
Both offensively good, Huddersfield keeping Man City at bay for 90 minutes, but against a team they see 3 points as vital, they may go for it a little more. Both are pretty evenly matched, and should provide a good game. Goals for me, both to score and over 2.5 a sound looking bet at 11/8.
Millwall vs Chesterfield: Millwall -1 Goal Handicap @ 6/5 (1945 KO, League One)
Millwall are fantastic at home – beating Leicester at the weekend, and winning 9 of 16, losing just 3 at home all season. Chesterfield on the other hand have lost 12/16 away, and only one win against MK Dons – bar the weekends draw with Gillingham, they have lost the previous 6 straight with just the 5 handicap losers in there of at least 2 goals or more.
Given the home sides form, and the away sides’ losing streak – a 1 goal handicap looks good @ 6/5.
The treble pays around the 10/1 mark.
Best of luck
