As the seasons draws to a close, the results get harder to pick! For myself – nothing I looked at this week seemed worth posting about, so I let it go and just enjoyed watching it!
For today – three tips from Kieron:
West Ham vs Everton: Everton Win @ 5/4 (Premier League, 1500 KO)
West Ham need points, they are only a few poor results away from being pulled into a tricky relegation battle. They face an impressive Everton side who admittedly are stronger at home than away but should still have enough to see off an under pressure West Ham. Historically Everton enjoy this fixture winning 53% of previous meetings and taking away at least a point in 33%. West Ham have only found one win in their last six matches seeing off Swansea in a home tie they needed to win, last time out though they fell foul to a late goal against bottom of the table Sunderland and only took away a point. Everton’s last six matches read very differently, losing only the Merseyside Derby at Anfield aside from four wins and an impressive 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. As I previously mentioned Everton are much stronger at home than in away fixtures although in their last eight away games they have only lost twice – at White Hart Lane and Anfield – both incredibly difficult places to go this season.
Hull vs Watford: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5 (Premier League, 1500 KO)
If Hull lose this and Swansea can grab a win at home to Stoke, Hull are in the bottom three. Every game is a cup final now for Hull and recently they have played like it, they’ve lost their last two outings both 3-1 to Manchester City and Stoke. For much of the Stoke game after equalising Hull looked threatening and a good bet too go on and take away at least a point before two very good goals from Stoke put them too the sword. One thing that can be said for Hull is they always seem to score, they have now scored in five of their last six matches – all of which finished BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals.
Watford don’t have an awful lot left to play for other than to remain in the top half of the table, they seem to have tightened the ship defensively keeping three clean sheets in their last four matches and should be quite confident of taking three points away from this fixture. Although Watford seem to have defensive issues resolved for the most part Hull scoring seems to be a given and for every goal Hull score they concede two, in the last six meetings between the two teams four have finished BTTS and three of those Over 2.5 Goals.
Fulham vs Huddersfield: Fulham Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 6/4 (Championship, 1500 KO)
Two teams currently sitting in the play off places, Fulham 6th and Huddersfield 4th. Fulham really need the points here with Leeds level with them and breathing down their necks. Huddersfield missed the opportunity to go above Reading into third with a 1-1 draw with Derby on Monday evening. Fulham are the highest scorers in the league at the moment with 78 goals, they have scored in everyone of their last six matches – netting 11 in their last four. Huddersfield are decent enough defensively conceding 49 all season but are far from impenetrable and if anybody is going to really test and beat that defence its Fulham. Last time out Fulham won this fixture 5-0, which could give some indication of what is possible!
Best of luck
