A very poor weekend overall – 2/4 on Saturday, and then nothing Sunday, with Olympiakos losing to newly promoted AEL and Zurich drawing, their first non-win in 5-6 games! On the goalscorer front – Inter conceded inside the first 10 minutes, ruining the Icardi bet, while AC Milan and Fiorentina drew 0-0, so obviously Bacca didn’t score.
We start afresh with Monday – there is quite a bit of football on, and for me – a good deal of value around:
Burnley vs Watford: Watford Win @ 8/5 (Premier League, 2000 KO)
With Andre Gray banned for 4 games over comments he made on Twitter years ago…which I may add is pathetic, Burnley will sorely miss his firepower – and with Watford looking in decent form, I think they will win this one.
8/5 is a top price – Ighalo and Deeney are a great partnership, while the addition of Roberto Pereyra has been astute. The 3-5-2 system they are playing has been a revelation – they look a terrific outfit and one I don’t think Burnley will keep out for 90 minutes.
Jong PSV vs Sittard: Jong PSV -1 Goal Asian Handicap @ 7/5 (Dutch Erste, 1900 KO)
PSV’s reserve side have started really well and are heading up the table after 8 games – and with Sam Lammers in hot form, with 8 goals in 7 appearances – and is likely to feature again as he did not appear for PSV over the weekend.
Their home form is very good – 4 wins from 4 with 11 goals scored – and playing a rather poor Sittard side who took a hiding from Utrecht’s reserve side not so long ago, and are winless in their 3 away games – conceding 6.
As a double, this pays around the 5.3/1 mark.
Best of luck!
