A poor day yesterday – on the goalscorer front, Marcus Maddison was very good but with Peterborough going down to 10 men inside 55 minutes, he was largely ineffective with them having little of the ball. Tammy Abraham had two very good chances but spurned them, while Portsmouth’s Roberts also had a decent game, but the team lost 3-1. In the other tips, Leicester managed a clean sheet, with Porto struggling against them, while the Leverkusen game was BTTS, but not over 2.5 goals.
T’was one of those nights where things just didn’t go our way! Moving onto Wednesday, there is little value about but I have found a cracking 15/1 doubt, with a safer 5.4/1 option:
Sergio Aguero 2+ Goals @ 7/4 (Celtic vs Man City)
First Goalscorer @ 11/5
Aguero, despite the ban – has been in incredible form! He has only played 6 games (Steaua, Stoke, Swansea, M’gladbach, West Ham and Sunderland) but has scored 11 goals, including the first goal against all but two – with West Ham being the only game he hasn’t scored in.
Against a Celtic side who shipped 7 against Barcelona – I see Aguero bagging a 3rd hat trick in as many games in this seasons Champions League, having scored 6 against his previous two – so 2 or more goals looks value @ 7/4.
Alexis Sanchez A/T @ 1/1 (Arsenal vs Basel)
First Goalscorer @ 4/1
Much like Aguero, since being shifted up-front Sanchez has hit form – scoring in his last four games, and a total of 5 goals. At home, against Basel, he is a very well priced Evens to score at any time, and with Arsenal in good form I like this bet!
Aguero 2+ @ 7/4 & Sanchez A/T @ 1/1 = 4.5/1
Aguero FGS @ 11/5 & Sanchez FGS @ 4/1 = 15/1
Best of luck!
