Wednesday was a nightmare – Fiorentina’s game was stopped for 30 minutes because of adverse weather, and when it resumed the pitch was still soaked so prevented either side playing any real football. Southampton were a goal light, while Man Utd-City was pretty dire, with City playing a very weak side. Roma-Sassuolo ended 3-1 for the only win of the night.
Sticking with quality over quantity today – and two games I have high hopes for:
Krumkachy vs BATE: BATE HT-FT @ 11/8 (Belarusian Vysshaya Liga, 1700 KO)
BATE may have won the league, but their form has been incredible of late. In terms of this market, 14 of their 20 wins have been this way – ahead at half time, and still leading at full time. Krumkachy have had an excellent season, but with them safe in mid table their form dropped off a cliff – 7 losses in their last 10, and with their last game against BATE being a 5-0 drubbing, they won’t be looking forward to it!
Valenciennes vs Nimes: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/8 (French Ligue 2, 1900 KO)
Valenciennes and Nimes have been two of the highest scoring/conceding teams in the French 2nd tier this season, and with their last two meets ending 2-2, this looks a good bet. Valenciennes have lost 4-1 and 2-1, while winning 4-2 and 3-1 in their last four games, defensively looking frail but equally scoring plenty. Nimes have drawn 3-3 and 2-2, but also won 3-1, 3-1 and 3-2 in recent away games.
Almere vs Helmond: Almere Win + BTTS @ 2/1 (Dutch Erste, 1900 KO)
Almere – 4 wins from 5 home games, 12 scored – 6 against. 4 wins in a row.
Helmond – 3 losses from 5 away games, 9 scored – 11 against.
Very high scoring sides, with Almere very good at home and in great form. Helmond have been conceding heavily – 11 in 5 games is pretty poor. Win + Over 2.5 would have been preferable, but with Bet365 only offering the 3.5 line, that’s a little too high a risk.
Best of luck for the day!
