One win from two last night as Jong PSV’s 100% winning home record evaporated against Top Oss, a team who had won just once in 7 away games! Zurich obliged, winning 2-0, for an evens winner.
Tuesday brings the quarter finals in the EFL Cup, and an array of football around Europe with a mixture of league and cup games. Two tips – the first in England, the 2nd in Denmark:
Hull vs Newcastle: Newcastle Win @ 5/4 (EFL Cup, 1945 KO)
Despite their loss to Blackburn, Newcastle are slight favourites and go into the game with 9 wins in their last 10 – just one loss since mid-september! Hull will have their eyes more on the league, knowing the further they go in this competition the more it could affect their league campaign. Benitez has taken the competition seriously so far, and with multiple players rested at the weekend I can safely say the same goes for this game. What you have, is the top scoring Championship side against the Premier League’s worst defence. Gayle, Ritche, Atsu…Newcastle could and should cause massive problems!
Copenhagen vs Viborg: Copenhagen Win to Nil @ 5/4 (Danish Superliga, 1800 KO)
Copenhagen have conceded very few all season long – and have not conceded at home for 7 games, including their six Champions League home games this season. Infact, they have only conceded twice at home in 14 games! Viborg are in the bottom couple, and although their record against the Champions isn’t that bad, on current form Copenhagen should win this, and with a 90%+ clean sheet record at home, 5/4 is a cracking price!
The double pays around the 4/1 mark.
Best of luck!
