Three from five last weekend. Aston Villa and Charlton failed to score, from what I can make out Villa were unlucky not too score and certainly made the opportunities and Charlton went down to ten men in what looked set to be a 0-0 draw late into the game. Back with four selections this week hopefully with a lot more luck!
‘At a Glance’
Aston Villa V Swansea @ 1/1
Hull V Birmingham @ 11/10
Aberdeen V Motherwell @ 11/10
Lorient V Rennes @ 6/5
Aston Villa V Swansea @ EVENS (15:00 KO, Barclays Premier League)
Aston Villa BTTS 44% (four from nine) Swansea BTTS 56% (five from nine)
Aston Villa have scored in five from nine, conceded in eight from nine, scored a total eight goals and conceded 15. Swansea have scored in six from nine, conceded in seven, scored a total 10 and conceded a total 11. As can be seen above Aston Villa are poor defensively not keeping a clean sheet since the opening day, Swansea have an okay scoring record and should prove capable of breaching a leaky Villa defence. Aston Villa’s scoring record is far from enthrawling, but after a strong display at Chelsea last week (admittedly they lost but were very unlucky not to score) they should definitely be expected to score against a Swansea side who should be doing alot better than they are. The last five meetings three have finished BTTS.
Hull V Birmingham @ 11/10 (15:00 KO, English Championship)
Hull’s BTTS record 50% (six from 12) and Birmingham’s BTTS record 50% (six from 12)Hull have scored in 11 games from 12, conceded in seven from 12, scored a total 17 and conceded eight. Birmingham have scored in 10 from 12, conceded in eight from 12, scoring a total 19 and conceding 11. Two high scoring teams in this one, Both defensively decent aswell, both are good enough going forward to get on the scoresheet. In the last five meetings three have finished BTTS.
Aberdeen V Motherwell @ 11/10 (15:00 KO, Scottish Premiership)
Aberdeen BTTS 45% (five from 11) Motherwell BTTS 45% (five from 11)Aberdeen have scored in 10 from 11 games, conceded in six from 11, scored a total 17 and conceded a total 12. Motherwell have scored in seven from 11 games, conceded in nine from in, sccored a total eight goals and conceded 14. Aberdeen although not conceding a lot across the season have conceded 10 in their last four matches, Motherwell are hardly prolific – they had a poor goalscoring start to the season but in terms of recent form have hit the net fairly regularly – minus a to nill loss against Celtic last time out!
Lorient V Rennes @ 6/5 (16:00 KO, French Ligue 1)
Lorient BTTS 70% (seven from 10) Rennes BTTS 80% (eight from 10) Lorient have scored in eight from 10 games, conceded in the same amount, scored a total 15 goals and conceded 14. Rennes have scored in all 10 of their games this season, conceded in eight, scored a total 14 goals and conceded 12. Both teams are regular goal scorers and guilty of conceding a high amount, both with high BTTS percentages for a season 10 games in.
The four-fold pays 18/1.
Best Of Luck
