Last week the BTTS selections hit 3/4 – with only Birmingham failing to score. The week before it was Villa who couldn’t net. I once drove to Birmingham to collect some car parts, I Broke down, lost a phone and had my wallet stolen – so when Birmingham were one down I was convinced they’d feel obliged to score and make it all up to me… not the case. Away from the fact Birmingham as a place and its football teams seem to be a cruel mistress three out of four all above Evens is positive and hopefully there was profit to be made for some!
Derby vs Rotherham @ EVENS (15:00 KO, English Championship)
Derby BTTS 62% (eight from 13) Rotherham BTTS 83% (10 from 13)
Derby have scored in 10 of their 13 games this season, conceded in eight, scored a total 18 and conceded 10. Rotherham have scored in 12 of 13 games, conceded in 11, scored a total 15 goals and conceded 21. In the last five meetings three have finished BTTS.
Reading vs Brighton @ EVENS (15:00 KO, English Championship)
Reading BTTS 54% (seven from 13) Brighton BTTS 62% (eight from 13)
Reading have scored in 10 from 13, conceded in eight, scored a total 20 and conceded 12. Brighton have scored in 11 from 13, conceded in eight, scored 18 and conceded 10. I didn’t think i would ever tip these two teams as BTTS, In my mind they will ALWAYS be teams that specialise in ‘to nil’ wins. Even with the ‘to nil’ theory in mind its worth noting that in terms of away game BTTS stats these sides are first and second, I know Reading are playing at home but they have only failed to score in three and have scored an impressive 20 goals. I believe the attacking ability of both teams will cancel out the defensive mindsets. The last three meetings between the sides have finished BTTS.
Crewe vs Sheffield United @ EVENS (15:00 KO, English League 1)
Crewe BTTS 53% (eight from 15) Sheffield United BTTS 60% (nine from 15)
Crewe have scored in 10 from 15, conceded in 13, scored a total 13 goals and conceded 24. Sheffield United have scored in 13 from 15, conceded in 11, scored a total 26 and conceded 21. Crewe seem to crop up and score goals even when playing horrifically, their goal scoring form is better at home and Sheffield United are much the stronger side so will be confident heading into this.
Hamilton Academical vs St Johnstone @ EVENS (15:00 KO, Scottish Premiership)
Hamilton BTTS 50% (six from 12) St Johnstone BTTS 92% (11 from 12)
Hamilton have scored in nine from 12 matches, conceded in eight, scored a total 16 and conceded 14. St Johnstone have scored in 12 of 12 matches, conceded in 11, scored a total 23 and conceded 19. Hamilton Perhaps are a little suspect for BTTS as they have only conceded in eight games and 14 goals in total, in Scottish football 14 goals in 12 games isn’t many at all. Even with Hamilton’s somewhat low conceded tally St Johnstone score goals, consistently and in high volume, they have only been involved in one game that didn’t end in BTTS.
After last week I’m hoping some of you maybe backed singles to go into different market accas or variable multiples too show some form of profit off a very unlucky day. If anyone is interested in the Four-Fold it pays 15/1.
Best Of Luck
