Been nothing from me for a while now due to the ‘skinternationals’ but back with four selections! All four are from English Leagues, three of which are Evens and up!
BTTS ‘At a Glance’
Everton V Aston Villa @ EVENS
Sheffield Wednesday V Huddersfield @ 21/20
Leeds V Rotherham @ EVENS
Oldham V Barnsley @ 3/4
Everton V Aston Villa @ EVENS (15:00 KO, Barclays Premier League)
Everton BTTS 58% (seven in 12) Aston Villa BTTS 50% (six from 12)Everton have scored in eight games this season and conceded in nine. Aston Villa have scored in seven and conceded in 10. Everton have only scored in eight of 12 games this season, take into account though in those eight games they have managed to net 20 goals! leaving them joint 5th highest scorers in the league. Everton scoring 20 goals in eight games is impressive and definitely positive when paired with the fact Aston Villa have conceded the same amount. Aston Villa have only scored in seven games this season but have still managed to net 10 goals, Everton have conceded a total 16 goals which isn’t too bad but shows they are far from impenetrable. This will be new Villa manager Remi Garde’s second game in charge and they are coming off the back of an impressive 0-0 draw with Manchester City, They will be looking to build on that against an Everton side they will see as beatable and I expect both sides to be attacking from the off. In the last six meetings between the two sides four have finished BTTS.
Sheffield Wednesday V Huddersfield @ 21/20 (15:00 KO, English Championship)
Sheffield Wednesday BTTS 69% (11 from 16) Huddersfield BTTS 56% (nine from 16)Sheffield Wednesday have scored in 13 games, conceded in 11 and Huddersfield have scored in 10 and conceded in 14. Sheffield Wednesday are a good side for the BTTS market having scored a total 20 goals and conceded 19, Huddersfield have scored 16 and conceded 23 which obviously works out a goal scored a game. The bottom line for this one is; when the BTTS % is above 50, the teams have either high scoring or conceding records and the odds are above Evens its too good to be ignored.
Leeds V Rotherham @ EVENS (15:00 KO, English Championship)
Leeds BTTS 56% (nine from 16) Rotherham 75% (12 from 16)
Leeds have scored in 12 games, conceded in 14 and Rotherham have scored in 13 and conceded in 14. Leeds and Rotherham have conceded 19 and 33 goals respectively, both having leaky defences – Rotherham for their terrible defensive record have managed to score 17 goals with a high 75% BTTS record. It would seem that with the stats these two teams conceding is a given and at Evens this can’t be ignored.
Oldham V Barnsley @ 3/4 (15:00 KO, English League 1)
Oldham BTTS 76% (13 from 17) Barnsley BTTS 59% (10 from 17)
Oldham have scored in 14 games and conceded in 14. Barnsley have scored in 12 and conceded in 14. Although Oldham have scored in more games than Barnsley, Barnsley have the higher goals scored total with 20 in comparison to Oldham’s 19. Both teams are guilty of conceding considerable amounts of goals with Oldham letting in 24 and Barnsley 29, Oldham’s high BTTS percentage along with the relatively high goals scored and conceded stats gives me good confidence in this one at the price of 3/4.
Three selections Evens or Above which are great for mix and match with various other market selections, the fourfold for those of you interested pays at around 13/1.
