A few weeks into the new season and there hasn’t been a great deal posted by ourselves – that should change in the coming weeks with the return of the Premier League this weekend, as well as the Champions League and Europa League kicking off mid-September.

Not a lot of luck so far – 3/6 on the weekend, with the other three games a goal short of what was required. Just the one accumulator posted, but in the foreign leagues I didn’t see a great deal of value, however several of the bankers I thought would win, lost…Jagiellonia and Slavia Prague both either lost or drew.

Midweek time…and the newly named Carabao Cup kicks off tonight, with a whole host of games between Championship, League One and League Two sides.

Just one accumulator again, a fourfold, paying just under 30/1:

Accrington vs Preston: Preston Win @ 13/10

Fleetwood vs Carlisle: Fleetwood Win @ 1/1

Luton vs Ipswich: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/10

Grimsby vs Derby: Derby -1 Goal Handicap @ 2/1

A mix of markets here – but hopefully a successful one. Preston are a strong Championship side, and although there could be rotation, it’ll be a strong side none the less. Accrington are a mid-table League Two team, and even at home, I can’t see them causing Preston too many issues.

Fleetwood and Carlisle is an interesting game – Fleetwood very good at the back, and capable of bagging 2-3 goals going forward. Carlisle had a great start last season but fell away dramatically, their defence being a big problem, hence why I see Fleetwood winning at a very good price!

Luton vs Ipswich could go either way, but given the home side scored 8 on the weekend, and Ipswich have had problems over the last few years finding the net – an early goal from Luton could force Ipswich out of their comfort zone.

Derby face Grimsby in the last game, and with a strong squad, with a variety of pacey forward players – I see them scoring 2/3 goals and winning to nil. Grimsby started well with a 3-1 thrashing of Chesterfield, but against quality such as Derby, they could really struggle.

Best of luck
