A mixed bag again last week – early stages often hard to call, especially with the likes of Malmo and BATE, not to mention Galatasaray failing against weaker opposition.
With the first legs’ done and dusted, it gives us a little more to go off in terms of this week – for the time being just a six-fold until more markets become available on the Europa League games come Tuesday/Wednesday as I feel thats where there is potential for some very good prices on markets such as handicaps and BTTS/Over 2.5 Goals.
I’ve gone for teams who have either already won, drew/lost but utterly dominated games, or games where there were high scores – it can go wrong, but hopefully it’s 3rd time lucky!
Two games in Tuesday’s Champions League, and four on Thursday in the Europa:
Alashkert vs BATE: BATE Win @ 17/20 (Tuesday, 1700 KO) – Agg 1-1
Buducnost vs Partizan: Partizan Win @ 4/7 (Tuesday, 1945 KO) – Agg 0-2
KR Rejkjavik vs Maccabi Tel Aviv: Tel Aviv Win @ 13/20 (Thursday, 2015 KO) – Agg 1-3
Trakai vs Norrkoping: Norrkoping Win @ 5/6 (Thursday, 1700 KO) – Agg 1-2
Mladost vs Sturm Graz: Sturm Graz Win @ 8/13 (Thursday, 1930 KO) – Agg 1-0
Lech Poznan vs Haugesund: Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/5 (Thursday, 1900 KO) – Agg 2-3
Lets start from the top – BATE really should have won, had the chances but conceded late on. Champions League regular of late, they should win this and win the tie. Partizan are 2-0 up and dominated the game, and given the gulf in class, an early goal should see the home side give up and four goals against a side they could hardly muster a shot against isn’t going to happen.
Tel Aviv were pretty dominant at home to Reykjavik – another win in Iceland is fairly likely. Norrkoping were also very dominant at home against Trakai, and with the strength of their team I could see them scoring a few goals – one for the asian handicaps perhaps. Sturm Graz were unlucky – 70 odd percent possession, and conceded from one of two shots take to lose 1-0. They will be all-out for the victory, and with a little more in terms of being clinical, a 2/3 goal win should occur.
Lastly Poznan vs Haugesund – the game of the match week in terms of goals. A five-goal thriller last time, I’m expecting more of the same especially with Poznan’s great home record in terms of wins and goals. Haugesund clearly had the measure of them last time though, so stopping them might be tough for Lech.
All in all a 25/1 6-Fold with Bet365 – all markets are also available on William Hill and SkyBet, amongst others as all but one game are match results and the other is Over 2.5 – so no weird markets.
Best of luck!
