Not a lot of value about on the two Champions League games this evening, but now the corner markets are up I see a few bets that I think are a decent chance of success tonight.
Wolfsburg vs Gent: Gent Over 4.5 Corners @ 11/10
Gent scored a total of 7 corners in the first leg, after being 3-0 down they came back to 3-2 and have given themselves half a chance. For me, they are a fearless team and with Depoitre in attack they possess an aerial threat that can cause plenty of corners. They were a little too respective of Wolfsburg in the first leg, and once realising they could do some damage, did so. In their 3 away ties in the Group Stage, they got 8, 6 and 2 corners respectively (2 in Russia) so I think this is a good bet!
Real Madrid vs Roma: Real Madrid Win + BTTS @ 6/4
Corners is something I looked at, but Real are not consistent enough in that regard. Roma beat them 7-5 on corners, and several times I have backed them this season in that market and been let down. Against smaller teams, they will rack up plenty, but against better sides they struggle. Defensively under Zidane they are still poor – often conceding silly goals. With Benzema injured, we might well see Mayoral again who has impressed in his handful of first team games. Roma were unlucky not to score last time, but I think they will today. However 2 away goals down, they will have too much to do and should be picked off by Real as the quest for goals goes on.
Double pays 4/1, while for those looking for an accumulator there is a full Championship Preview/Tips article here.
Best of luck
