Football Tips // FA Cup Accumulator

With two tips posted for today’s FA Cup games, I thought it best to add a few more from the weekends games to make a 20/1+ acca for the coming 2-3 days. In the last round I hit 3/3, and feel pretty confident going into today.

Leicester/Millwall and Chelsea/Wolves are a solid base – here are two more to add to them:

Blackburn vs Man Utd: Man Utd Win to Nil @ 1/1 (Sunday, 1615 KO)

Blackburn are lurking in the relegation zone – not far from safety but they will be crapping themselves at the thought of relegation again. Venky’s have already screwed up a once great club, and sinking another level could see them become another Portsmouth or Blackpool. Much like many teams in their position, will they want to face another round, or even a replay? I doubt it.

United are in great form, and even with some fringe players given a run-out I can see them winning to nil. They are very good at the back under Mourinho, and by the sounds of his interview the other day he has leaned his lessons with regards to the FA Cup and is looking to go as far as possible. Carrick, Rooney and Mkhitaryan are likely to play given his comments, which leads to me thinking it’ll be a good starting 11!

Fulham vs Spurs: Spurs Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 13/8 (Sunday, 1400 KO)

Spurs come into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss in Belgium on Thursday, Poch furious I can imagine. They have tailed off a little of late and fallen away from the title race, as well as a poor first leg in the Europa League. I can see him fielding some changes – not too many as he has been burned with that before – but certainly the likes of Janssen and Sissoko should feature given hefty price tags and little result so far.

Fulham are in great home form – scoring 3+ in 5 of their last 10 and winning 7 – the only loss being Brighton, which is no bad thing given how good the Seagulls are. They put 4 past Hull in the last round – and with the likes of Lucas Piazon pulling the strings they are a danger to any side on current form. My take is that they will score but Spurs will score more. Simples!

Millwall vs Leicester: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5 (Saturday, 1500 KO)

Leicester are all over the place – Ranieri has really lost the players and in my opinion he will be sacked before they go down, which could both happen this season! It really proves that what happened was a ‘Hayley’s Comet’ moment in our lifetimes and that something like it will never happen again, or at least while we are living.

Millwall are in very good form, looking likely to pick up a playoff place in League One, while as we have mentioned Leicester are in no form at all. With changes likely to be made, I can see quite an open game ahead. Millwall have already knocked out two Premier League teams in Bournemouth and Watford – and with the events currently happening at Leicester, who’s to say they will stop them?

Wolves vs Chelsea: Chelsea Win to Nil @ 11/10 (Saturday, 1730 KO)

Chelsea are oh so good at the back – and even with the likes of Ake or Zouma given a game today, you’d have to back them to win to nil given their record this season. Wolves had new investors at the start of the season but are another club who have fallen victim to employing a foreign boss with no experience in England with a list of ex-clubs as long as Arsene Wengers’ excuses. Zenga was poor, and despite significant investment they are facing the bottom three at the moment – 3 losses in a row has seen them slip to 18th!

Weather they will be bothered about the FA Cup is another thing – get past Chelsea and you are likely to face another big Premier League team. That, or a solid base to go off for next season? I think the fans would take the latter rather than potentially playing in League One again.

The accumulator pays in the region of 25/1 with 365.

Best of luck
