A decent day on Sunday – only Viterbese letting us down, with only the 2nd goal they have conceded all season! Other than that, Juve Stabia won 4-1 (BTTS + Over 2.5 @ 8/5) and Ajax won 2-0, with the -1 Handicap landing nicely. Even the 4th suggested bet, for those after an accumulator – Valencia Win, won – 2-1, at just over 11/10.
For today – there is little on, and even less of any note. Liverpool vs Man Utd looks like the only game with any value in…
BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 –/– Liverpool Win @ 6/5
Liverpool look a real force under the nutty eye of Jurgen Klopp – still defensively flawed, but offensively they can take anyone apart. With nobody guaranteed a start – picking scorers is hard – their front man is usually Roberto Firmino or Danny Sturridge – and for this game I can see them going with the first of those. Coutinho, Mane, Wijnaldum, Can…all rotated around, and with no European football, they are always fresh.
As for Man Utd – they had a good start, but against some of the easier sides. Since the Man City game, they have struggled for any sort of form, with Marcus Rashford looking their most dangerous player. Rooney’s been dropped, Ibra’s form has dropped off a cliff and Paul Pogba looks as much a £100m player as Shola Ameobi…
This is a huge game for both, and with tensions high – and a referee that lives only a few miles away from Old Trafford (like that makes any difference…much made about absolutely nothing there) – I think there could be a red card or penalty – which are both priced @ 5/2 with Bet365
Both sides having missing players – Liverpool more so, with the likes of Clyne, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Lovren and Sakho missing – however the majority of them (bar Sakho) could play tonight, with their chances being rated at around 50/50
All in all, BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals looks like a solid bet, but I’d have to favour the home side given their form, and the form of Man Utd too.
