After a fantastic weekend – the midweek stuff gets underway with our double today. However, the interesting games start Tuesday with the return of the Champions League group stages, as well as Championship games taking place over both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Four tips – three Tuesday, one Wednesday:
Legia vs Dortmund: Dortmund -1 Goal Handicap @ 1/1 (1945 KO, Champions League – Wednesday)
As stated in the Preview, Dortmund are a much changed side, and lost to Leipzig on the weekend. However, against a fairly poor Legia side I can see their new players such as Dembele and Gotze shining and them winning 2/3-0.
PSG vs Arsenal: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/5 (1945 KO, Champions League – Tuesday)
Again, in the preview I covered points about the suspect defences of both, and the excellent forwards for both – Hatem Ben Arfa and Alexis Sanchez the pick of them. Arsenal are missing defenders, while PSG have conceded 4 in their opening 2 games.
Norwich vs Wigan: Norwich Win + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5 (Championship, 1945 KO – Tuesday)
Norwich have been very good at home so far, winning three of their four games in all competitions, and winning 3-2 and 6-1, as well as 1-0 and drawing 0-0. Wigan have been poor away from home, losing all four of their games away from the DW. Scoring plenty however, but conceding more.
I fancy Norwich to either score 3 goals themselves, or win 2-1+
Wolves vs Barnsley: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/5 (Championship, 1945 KO – Tuesday)
Wolves had huge investment in them as they neared the season, but have had a fairly average start – sitting midtable after 6 games. Barnsley on the other hand have started incredibly well – and sit in the top 3, scoring 14 and conceding 9.
With new-signing Adam Armstrong coming off the bench to score, they know they have options even if they rest some of their main men. I fancy both to score in this one, and for it to go well over 2.5 goals!
Double: 3 + 4 @ 5/1
Treble: 1, 3 + 4 @ 10/1
Acca: 1-4 @ 23/1
Best of luck!
