Very poor day yesterday – no two ways about it. Belgium were 5-3 up on corners after 50 minutes but could not get 2 more in 40 minutes of play, which was gobsmacking. Italy grabbed an early goal and pretty much played keep-ball from there in afterwards, scoring a grand total of 3 corners… Bosnia led 3-0 at half time, and then stopped bothering while Azerbaijan lead 1-0 at one stage but blew it to draw 2-2.
Anyway – onto today. A simple double like Friday, with hopefully the same result:
1. Germany Win to Nil @ 11/8 vs Scotland (1945 KO) NAP
Germany need another win or two to secure qualification, while Scotland NEED to win this to stand any chance of qualifying. With Gordon Strachan promising changes, I feel it will be an attacking side that Germany will pick off easily and win, scoring 2 or 3 goals in the process. I don’t think Scotland have enough to trouble their back four, with a lot of possession likely to be had by the Germans
2. Romania Win to Nil @ 6/4 vs Greece (1945 KO)
Greece are knackered. 5 losses in 7, even to the Faroe Islands! Romania will want to get top spot back and secure their place in next summers tournament – and I feel they shall batter a poor Greece team. They have only scored 7 in 7 games, but consider there were several 0-0’s in there and the key point here is they have only conceded once in 7 games!
As a double this pays around 5/1 – and bar this there is little value elsewhere, with a lot of tight games expected tonight.
Best of luck!
