We gave the midweek set of games a miss – not had much luck in the Qualifying games for either Champions League or Europa, and I’m not a huge fan of the Carabao Cup.
August is over – no winners but a couple of very close ones. From here on it gets a little easier to call games, so I’m hoping to start September with a bang!
6 games, all Saturday!
Lokeren vs Beveren: Over 2.5 Goals @ 4/6 (1900 KO)
Both sides have an 80% record in their 5 games so far for the market, Beveren scoring 7/conceding 11, while Lokeren have scored 4 and conceded 13! Decent record between the two with last season’s 2 games ending 3-2 and 1-1.
Opava vs Jablonec: Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/10 (1600 KO)
Opava have been fairly awful defensively so far, with 17 conceded in just 6 games – but scoring in 5 of them has made their Over 2.5 record very good. Jablonec come into this on the back of 3 wins in a row, most impressively against Slavia, winning 2-0. They’ve scored 9 and conceded 1 in those three – and given the home sides poor defensive record, 3 could be on the cards for them alone!
Sheff Utd vs Aston Villa: Over 2.5 Goals @ 43/40 (1500 KO)
Wednesday have a perfect record – 5/5 in the Over 2.5’s – and with exactly 15 goals, they have had precisely 3 per game. Villa have a 3/2 record – but the key thing is that every game has been BTTS so far, meaning all 5 have been over 1.5 which is a good stat!
Wehen vs Wurzburger: Over 2.5 Goals @ 9/10 (1300 KO)
80% record after 5 games for both of these, both scoring 11/12 goals and conceding 8 or 9. Should be evenly matched but Wehen could easily score 3 themselves like last season when it ended 5-0.
Debrecen vs Haladas: Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 (1600 KO)
Debrecen have also had over 1.5 in every game so far, and over 2.5 in two. Haladas have had 5 in 6 for over 2.5, with them scoring 8 and conceding 12. Debrecen are one of those that could score 3 and win 3-0 or concede 3 in a 3-3 draw, very hit and miss, and with their last 2 meetings ending 1-1, these two will see this as a good opportunity to pick up 3 points.
Lech Poznan vs Piast: Over 2.5 Goals @ 9/10 (1930 KO)
Much like the Villa/Sheff Utd and Wehen/Wurzburger games, these two have scored/conceded similar amounts – both around the S11/C8 mark. Piast have a 5/1 record, Poznan a 4/2 but they have the better record of the two.
This pays around the 45/1 mark with 365.
Best of luck
