Morning all! Yesterday looked to be going well, with Mlada Boleslav winning 2-1, and with Orgryte 3-0 up at half time, and Trelleborgs pressing – I thought it was to be a good day! However, Trelleborgs – for all their pressure and chances, failed to score – compounded by LASK Linz losing to the worst team in the league! Really was one of those nights…
Saturday is looking very good – the majority of the value we are seeing today comes in the Premier League:
Man Utd vs Leicester: BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/4 (12:30 KO, Premier League)
United have had a disgruntled season so far; started reasonably enough but have lost their last two outings in the league, and three of their last four in all competitions. Leicester look far from the side that won the league last season having won two of five league matches. For their poor starts though both teams manage to score consistently with United finding the net in all five games whilst Leicester failing on one occasion. Both teams have managed two clean sheets so far, and with Leicester improving while Utd are hitting a rough patch, the likes of Vardy and Slimani could put them to the sword!
Sunderland vs Palace: Palace Win @ 13/8 (15:00 KO, Premier League)
Crystal Palace couldn’t get on the score sheet in their opening two matches, but in the three that have followed they have managed to score seven. They secured the signature’s of Benteke and Townsend who both seem to have really boosted the teams confidence in front of goal. They come up against a 19th placed Sunderland who have conceded nine and are yet to keep a clean sheet – and in Van Aanholt have potentially lost one of their best defenders, and a potent attacking source!
Against Spurs last weekend, it really could have been about 8-nil, and it was only Jordan Pickford that kept it to 1-0. With the likes of Townsend, Benteke and Zaha looking in good form – I find it hard to back against Pardew’s Palace!
Bournemouth vs Everton: Everton Win @ 23/20 (15:00 KO, Premier League)
Everton are 2nd in the league, having won 4 and drawn the other against Spurs. Koeman has them playing a good brand of football, and with Bolasie added to their forward line they really look a side that you wouldn’t want to mess with.
Bournemouth on the other hand have had a poor start – losing 3/5 games, and conceding 9 goals. With Matt Ritchie gone, they seem to have lost a little bit of their attacking edge going forward, and are being found out defensively. I fancy the Toffee’s to win!
Scunthorpe vs Sheff Utd: Scunthorpe Win @ 13/8 (15:00 KO, League One)
Scunthorpe are on fire at the moment, sitting top of league one, two points clear of Bolton. Scunthorpe have lost once so far and are the leagues highest scorers by some way with 18 goals. Sheffield United sit sixth with 13 points, they have scored 10 and conceded 11. Sheffield United are far from an easy opponent but they leak regular goals as is proven with their goals against tally, this will be a serious issue against a devastating attack such as Scunthorpe.
NAP: 1 @ 5/4
Double: 2 + 4 @ 5/1
