Fantastic day yesterday! NAP looked very iffy until the last 5 minutes where Scotland decided they needed to go ‘Gung-ho’ to rescue the game. They were 5-2 down on corners so needed 5 in 4 minutes at one stage for the -1 corner bet to win. They got the 5 needed…somehow! Germany -4 corners never looked in much doubt, with the World Cup holders winning 3-1 in the match and 9-2 on corners – so a nice 4/1 double!
Today I have just the NAP in terms of lower priced value, and a 300/1+ Accumulator…lets hope it goes as well as last weekends:
1. England -5 Goals Handicap @ 6/5 vs San Marino (1700 KO, Group E)
England have beaten San Marino 5-0, 5-0 and 8-0 – but this time I feel it is much different. England are in fantastic form, unbeaten and have an excellent young squad with direct wingers that I feel will tear San Marino apart. I’m fully expecting them to score at least 6-8 goals, and with Wayne Rooney chasing two goals to break the English goalscoring record and Harry Kane chasing his first goals of the season – I think they will really put the minnows to the sword.
Win + BTTS/To Nil Acca
1. Macedonia Win + BTTS @ 4/1 vs Luxembourg (1700 KO, Group C)
Macedonia won 3-2 in the last game these two played, and with Luxembourg conceding nearly 3 goals per game on average you have to fancy the Macedonians. Both have iffy back fours, but as proven last time both can score. Very good odds!
2. Lithuania Win to Nil @ 4/1 vs Estonia (1700 KO, Group E)
In the last four meetings between the two sides, all have been to nil and very low scoring. Lithuania have won three of those four, with a 1-0 win earlier in this group stage. There is a real chance it could be a boring 0-0, but I fancy the Lithuanian’s to bag a goal and hold onto it.
3. Spain Win + BTTS @ 12/5 vs Slovakia (1945 KO, Group C)
Spain have struggled a little so far in this group. Although they have only had real challenges from Ukraine and Slovakia, they conceded against Macedonia and have been off-colour since the World Cup. Slovakia won 2-1 last time, so should be full of confidence going into the game knowing one win means they play in France next summer in their first ever European Champs. I think at home, Spain will have too much but with the likes of Hamsik in the team, they could well score.
4. Switzerland Win + BTTS @ 3/1 vs Slovenia (1945 KO, Group E)
Switzerland lost this game 1-0 last time, and still need a few wins to guarantee a place next summer in France. Slovenia have scored against England in their two games, so that should give them confidence going into this key game. With Estonia and Lithuania playing each other they could drop into 4th, but with those two and San Marino to play they should get into the playoffs. Fancy them to score but Switzerland to win 2/3-1.
As an Accumulator this pays 340/1 with Bet 365, my preferred double being Spain + BTTS and Macedonia + BTTS @ 16/1
That is very much a longhsot – International football is a cruel mistress but like we found Sunday, a risky bet can pay off!
Best of luck
