Football Tips // Sunday

Good morning all

Quite a poor day yesterday. Very unpredictable, Notts County DNB @ 11/10 the only winner, with Luton and Derby both drawing games they should have won while Peterborough were just rubbish against Rochdale – you tend to find betting at the start of the season difficult you are not sure who is going to perform and who isn’t.

Moving onto today – I have four tips, two foreign and two in the Premier League:

1. Slaven Belupo-Osijek BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 6/4 (2000 KO, Croatian HNL, NAP)

(Over 2.5 @ 43/40 if you cannot find BTTS + Overs)

This game is usually filled with goals. Both teams are high scorers and also concede plenty. Here are both sides first four games:

Belupo: 2-2, 2-2, 3-3 + 1-3
Osijek: 2-2, 1-2, 1-1 + 1-0

The last 5 games have produced plenty, with games of 3-2, 3-2, 2-1, 2-1 and 2-0 (18 in 5, nearly 4 per game). It should be a good game either way, with plenty of goals!

2. Stoke City-Liverpool BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5 (1600 KO, Premier League)

(Over 2.5 @ 43/40 if you cannot find this market)

Stoke have a bit of a hold over Liverpool – regular wins, and even a 6-1 mauling in Gerrard’s last game. They have signed the likes of Afellay, Moha and Joselu to add to their already attacking side. Liverpool have added Ings, Benteke, Firmino and a few others. Here are some stats:

Last 5 meets: 6-1, 3-1, 5-3, 1-0, 1-0
Last 5 games at the Brittania: 6-1, 3-5, 3-1, 1-2, 1-0

There are still serious doubts over Liverpool’s back four + keeper, so this should be a very interesting game!

3. Newcastle-Southampton BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 7/5 (1330 KO, Premier League)

(Over 2.5 is 23/20 if you cannot find the above market)

I’m not sure what to expect from Newcastle – with the likes of Mitrovic, Wijnaldum and Mbemba coming in and with Siem de Jong now fit with Rolando Aarons also fit again – they have a good team! Their back four is questionable but with Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini and Mbemba it’s starting to look solid. Southampton put out nearly a full team in Holland in midweek, so could be a little jaded. They have put 10 past Pardew’s Newcastle in the last 3 meetings, they will have confidence – but under McClaren and his new philosophy which all the players are really buying into – this could be a different game. January’s meeting ended 2-1 to Southampton, the previous two both 4-0 wins for the Saints too. Should be a brilliant game!

4. Inter Baku Win @ 1/1 vs Khazar Lankeran (1700 KO, Azerbaijan Premier League)

Baku have won the most recent 5 games between the two, and even plenty before that. 4 meets in 2015, ending 2-0, 3-0, 2-0 and 2-1, while the previous game to that was 3-1. 3 away wins in the last 5 – and holding Bilbao at home in the Europa League – I really fancy them to win this game and win well.

1. NAP: 1 @ 6/4
2. Double: 1 + 2 @ 5/1
3. Treble: 1-3 @ 13.4/1
4. Acca: 1-4 @ 27.8/1

Let’s hope for a better day!

Best of luck
