Saturday was just one of those that didn’t get anywhere near. Bar Tammy Abraham scoring, the rest was push. Brentford dominated, but didn’t take any of their 20 odd chances. Liverpool went down early, but won 2-1, a goal short of the -1 handicap needed. Port Vale had won 4/4 at home, but lost to Coventry, who had not away, but still won 2-0. To top it off, Barnsley were a goal short.
For today, I have searched about for around 90 minutes, found 8-10 games and selected four handicap bets. The BTTS + Over 2.5’s look good on paper, but I always find the weekend after a set of European fixtures tough to trust teams in that market. Here are my four handicap tips for the day:
Wohlen vs Zurich: Zurich -1 Handicap @ 11/10 (Swiss Challenge League, 1400 KO)
I backed Zurich last weekend, and they failed to win against 2nd placed Aarau. Today, they face Wohlen, who have conceded 20 goals in 9 games, and lost 3 of 4 home games – including 4-1, 3-1 and 2-1 results, as well as a 4-0 loss to Zurich at the start of the season. Zurich will want to get back to winning ways, and for me this is against the worst team in the league – so they won’t get a better opportunity!
Krasnodar vs Rubin Kazan: Krasnodar -1 Goal A/H @ 27/20 (Russian PL, 1700 KO)
When you look at the table, it seems Krasnodar have been relatively poor – however it is simply their away form which has dragged them into the mid table region. Look at their home form – and you see 3 wins and a loss, and wins of 4-0, 3-0 and 2-1. They also played Nice on Thursday and won 5-2, with Fedor Smolov in fine form.
Kazan are similar – decent at home, but much worse than Krasnodar away. They have take a point from 3 away games, with the only good side being Zenit, which they lost 4-1. They also lost to Arsenal Tula, and drew with Orenburg – two newly promoted sides. With the Asian Handicap, this looks a solid bet with a safety net.
Atalanta vs Napoli: Napoli -1 Goal A/H @ 11/10 (Italian Serie A, 1400 KO)
Napoli are in very good form – sitting 2nd in the league and unbeaten, and have not lost since April – nearly 20 games! They won during the week, scoring a shed load against Legia, and with Arkaduiz Milik finding his feet, the Insigne brothers looking good and the likes of Hamsik, Callejon and Mertens all performing – I can only see a handsome win here. They have a good record against Atalanta, who have been pretty dreadful this season – losing 4 of 6 games, including to Palermo, Sampdoria and Cagliari.
3-1 and 2-1 wins last season, and have improved their squad…I think they will win, and win well.
Levante vs Valladolid: Levante -1 Goal A/H @ 6/4 (Spanish Segunda, 1645 KO)
Despite suffering relegation, Levante have kept a good deal of their squad, and have begun well. 5 wins from 7, and 3 wins in 3 home games – 4-2, 2-0 and 1-0. Valladolid have begun very poorly, and have failed to score away from home yet. Two 1-0 losses and a 0-0 draw has left them sat in 18th.
With form behind them, and facing a team who struggle to score on the road – I like Levante’s chances.
*A/H – Asian Handicap.
I’m not going to suggest too many differing bets, but my NAP has to be Zurich -1 @ 11/10, while a double would include them & Napoli -1 A/H @ 11/10 for a 3.4/1.
The accumulator pays in the region of 25/1.
Best of luck!
