Another close one last night – late goals ensured we finished with 3/4 again with the only letdown being the NAP, incredibly with 37 shots (18 on target) Slovenia only managed to beat San Marino 2-0 in what looked the banker of the evening! Switzerland won 1-0 in injury time, Slovakia won 4-2 while England won 3-0.
Today it is back to the National League – after a few big letdowns this weekend with the internationals I’m avoiding like the plague!
1. Forest Green Win @ 13/10 vs Eastleigh (1945 KO – NAP)
Forest Green started with 9 wins from 9, but tougher games against Cheltenham, Gateshead and Grimsby lead to a few draws and defeats. Back on track with 2 wins from 2, they look rejuvenated and I think can take advantage of a poor Eastleigh defence which has lead to 3 home defeats in the last 3 games. FG have won 5 from 8 away, so are good on their travels. Eastleigh have the ability to score plenty, but concede far too many as well – a good bet in my opinion, at a good price!
2. Cheltenham-Bromley BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/1 (1945 KO)
Bromley are the in-form team of the Conference! 8 wins in their last 10, and 27 scored. In their last 5 home games they have scored 20 and conceded 5 – an average win of 4-1 each game. They have had 9 BTTS + Over 2.5 goals this season, with a further 1 BTTS. They have scored in 14/16 games and conceded in 12/16. Cheltenham on the other hand have had 6 BTTS + Over 2.5 goals in 16 games with a further 4 BTTS. In their last 10 games, they have scored in 9/10 and conceded in 8/10. They have an identical record to Bromley – scored in 14/16, conceded in 12/16. This should have goals as Bromley are involved – cannot see them A – not scoring, and B = not conceding!
3. Welling-Lincoln BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 (1945 KO)
Welling have scored in all 8 home games thus far, and have had BTTS in 6, with Over 2.5 added in 4. It is where they are strongest. Lincoln on the other hand have scored and conceded in 6/8 away games, despite winning 3 in a row, and 4 in their last 5! Both score/concede at an average of over 1 goals per game, but despite both teams not having the greatest BTTS + Over 2.5 records this season it’s one that could easily break the mould.
4. Gateshead-Macclesfield BTTS + Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/4 (1945 KO)
Macclesfield: Scored in 6 and conceded in 6 of their 8 home games. 7 BTTS + Over 2.5 in their 16 games so far.
Gateshead: Scored in 6 and conceded in 6 of their 8 away games. 9 BTTS + Over 2.5 in their 16 games so far, with 12/16 BTTS.
Both games ended BTTS last season, with one 2-1 and a 1-1. Both are strong offensive teams – scoring over a goal per game at 23 each, while Gateshead have conceded 22 (18 for Macclesfield).
As an accumulator this pays 20.5/1 – I’d suggest a 2 + 4 double @ 3.7/1 after the NAP’s have been the ones letting us down recently!
Best of luck
